OK, so a little while back, I bought the BF2 combo pack (BF2 + BF2:SF). When I installed it and ran it for the first time, my version number was 1.1.2.837946946blahblahblah.
Now I had heard about the 1.3 horror stories, but i figure i better get up to date. So I grab the 1.3 patch off the net and download and install it....or at least I thought i did.
After the patch install, I load my game and it still says version 1.1.2.0238248924 instead of what I'm assuming should be 1.3.02494204.
I'm very confused. I'm a techy guy by nature and I'm having a hard time understanding what is going on. My friend insists that I would not be able to run the game if 1.3 is installed. To be honest, I dont' know if that is true or not.
So I'm looking for some helpful answer if you can. Also if this is in the wrong category, please feel free to moved it to the correct location.
