YES THAT IS WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING SINCE DAY 1. Sorry for the caps lock I just thought it was appropriate. But yeah a couple more F-35s (or better yet, some F-18s ) on wake could really even the balance on that map.

i think it is a horrible idea simply because having two jets rape the carrier is bad enough, but 4?????? i have a slow enough pc as it is and by the time i log in as american sometimes, we are already being raped by j10s, 4 fast computers on the other side and the chance of americans ever leaving the carrier dwindles......

That's the problem with all maps,especially on Wake for the US.
Jetpilots do not actually dogfight,they just bomb away and let the enemy jets do the same.
US is bound to lose that way almost every time on Wake.
But on the other hand - there's nothing more worthless than a J-10 pilot who keeps raping the carrier while dozens of boats crawl along the edge of the map and finally make it to shore.
A good pilot is always with one eye on the minimap and if the jeeps and tanks on the ground can't reach a boat or blackhawk he's there in no time to finish the job.If there are no ground targets he should take out the enemy jets.
Carrierraping is just pointwhoring,keeping the island clear is teamwork,even in a jet.

And that's the whole friggin' problem with all the vehicles - everybody is just picking on an enemy who's smaller/less powerful.Tanks should fight tanks and not rape infantry,same goes for attack chopper(tanks and other choppers are their prey).
Jets should be always primarily up against jets and only support the groundfighting(except bombers).

Finally an intelligent person agrees with my post. That midget across the street didn't count because he had no idea what I was talking about. I cannot be shot down in an F-18, unless its those damn Igloo sites because they never miss!

Why isn't there and air only map?
2 islands and 1 control point in the middle.
Would ne nice for some option other than fighting for jets all the time.

EA needs to fix the balance issues with the F35 being a piece of junk in the air. This is supposed to be next-gen American avionic technology and it's being schooled 3rd world country machines? UNCOOL. I dunno how many times I've fired missiles at a J10 and F35 missiles just seem to avoid them while a J10 firing a missile just heads directly for the target like flares don't do shit.

Balance issues, that's what BF2 jets need, yet EA hasn't done anything about it. Oh well. There's always 1.5 right?

Adding more jets would be hard to handle.

1. These maps have not been designed to handle that many airplanes. I am pretty sure servers can handle so much load on fast moving vehicles.
2. Infantry/Vehicles would be at a serious disadvantage, pilots would pile up kills very quickly.
3. Teamkills will not stop. Asses that do teamkill you for a plane will still kill you for a plane.

Now, I think handling the imbalance issues of F-35 vs. J-10 would not be solved by adding more F-35Bs, it would get worse. Adding F35Bs would just give the J-10 pilots more easy targets.
