How do you deal with the disconnects and the C2D's?

I havent played BF2 in months... partly cus of the crashes, partly cus I didn't have time..

Logged on today to have some fun... I've logged about 1 hour of gametime in 2.

I've had 1 kick to make room for an admin, 6 disconnects, 7 crashes to desktop, and 1 server crash.

All I want to do is play some AF.....

God it takes a strong will to keep playing this game with that crap.

How do you deal? I had to grab a beer before I ripped some hair out.

Of all the bad things that go on, it would be nice to see people reconnect to the server, that way they spend less time looking for a new server and just reconnect to the one that crashed, if everyone does this then the server would be full again. We all know the server will crash, its just when.

Hey u guys ...

after 4 disconnects (cause of server crash) and 1 C2D in 2 hours and after swearing on damn ea/dice for second patch which makes servers go crazy, i read this thread.
I will never buy 2142 (also considering never buy any ea game) as long as they don´t change their mind in supporting their customers.
Thats how i deal with it.

The C2D's drive me nuts more than the server crashes, because they usually come in pairs with the disconnects.

Server crashes.. so I disconnect, then I rejoin... then C2D...

i don't know if u've noticed, but servers that crash don't always show up on the list right away. And also, u usually can't join them for up to 10 min sometimes. So why bullshit and wait.

Mmm.. Not ours...It usually take ~ 3 mins.

But the CTD's I usually wait and put "AutoJoin" on and just let the computer join for you, otherwise connecting too fast will result in either : 1) CTD's 2) becoming a private 3) Red bug..

You're saying C2D's are caused by clicking "Join Game" too fast?

At least one that works unlike favorites, server search and the join now button (which is just a ridiculous button).

Not all the time, like the mid-game CTD's..The only time I had the CTD mid-game is when The computer was doing something else - like windows dl, MP3 crap, XFIRE is a big one, TS. But when I turn everything off, I've only had ONE mid-game CTD.

Sometimes I just take it with a grain of salt and restart the game...other days im in a bad mood and sometimes throw my keyboard or pound on my desk like a nut..lol

But alot of the time im pretty cool....its just those certain days I can go crazy

I pretty much never get CTD's during games, I get something much worse. CTD's when attempting to luanch BF2. The fucking thing wont even let me launch the game. Tired following all EA's troubleshooting steps for this but only known resolution for me is to restart the computer which sometimes works or reinstall bf2. I've reinstalled so much recently I have my fucking CD memorized.

I don't even bother playing week days anymore (unless its with clan mates), waste of time with all the fucking server crashes.

Guess I deal with it by only playing weekends atm.

yeah, clicking join game to fast ALWAYS ctd for me, i usually wait or "tease it". lol, hover it over it, then move it back, rinse and repeat. then after about 20 seconds, i click join, after i learned that a while back, it hasnt ctd for me since...... except those damn karkand servers...

Man, sucks to be you. That's way above the odds from what I've heard. I get annoyed if I get 10/12 CTDs in two or three days much less 7 in two hours.
