lately when i play thats what it feels like my pc is being powered by. holy shit the lag! even with everything on low i get so much lag it gets to the point where i just cant play anymore. i used to be able to run almost everything on high with 0 lag, but the patch gave my fps a good kick in the face:(
i also noticed that....that my settings completly have been fucked up....i had my setting so good that i just have a heavy loading lag at the start of the game and that goes 1 min and they my pc is catching up and everything goes like a knife in the butter.....but now its a knife into the wood of my desk Grrrrrrrrrrr.....i didnt ask to fuck up my setting i just wanted to continue playing!
I Don't have that problem at all, (well in the beginning) but know it just runs like it did before and the loading times are the same to, WIMMETJE OUWE PEER

Same issue! Normal BF2 was pretty quick loading but SF is a killer. Definietly takes longer. Even on subsequent loading when BF2 was like lightening there seems to be no change in SF.
Still always the first one on the map though!!!! hehehe

I don't care if i'm the fasted in the game, IT JUST HAVE TO LOAD AND NO SHUTTING DOWN BACK TO WINDOWS:P
I hear ya - my computer is fast as all hell (an overclocked radeon x800 pro with 16 pipelines heh) and 2 gig of system ram with an OC'd 3.0 P4 to about 3.3 Ghz. I used to be the first in the game, with all my settings on as high as they could be, with no lag and lightning fast load time. I've found now that when I play SF, it takes me longer to load in both games, and the lag in SF is pretty annoying. Well, beyond annoying - it just depends if im being killed or not.
*shrug* Don't know what you guys are doing to your computers.
I have a mediocre system at best (P4 2.4GHz, 1GB PC3200, 6600GT, 80GB 7200rpm ATA, used to have Serial ATA but that one died a month ago ). I had to drop my graphics a notch with the expansion same as everyone else, so I now run the majority on low, distance 100%, 1 or 2 of the settings on medium, I forget which.
I have little problem with lag (ping is usually 30-50) and little video lag (FPS ~30-40 I would guess)
My loading times are fine, I timed it last night (50-55 secs for map load, 60-65 secs for verify). Except for an additional 25-30 secs of verify time it's the same as original BF2.

I've been having major lag problems too. Ever since the patch. My clan will join a game simutaneously, and I'm always the last one in, by about 3 minutes! Everyone is in after a 90 seconds to 2 minutes, but I take almost 5 minutes to get in. Then when I was in, I was so horribly laggy, it was almost unplayable, probably about 3-5 fps. Especially when there is a lot of action on the screen. I checked my download speed, right after leaving the game, 800 - 900 kbps. I have a 3.6 ghz P4, 1 Gig 3200 RAM, ATI x850 Pro. I guess I'll have to get more RAM, cause most of my friends have 1.5 to 2 gigs, but I couldnt see it making THAT much of a difference. *sigh*
