I think that EA has completly gone over board with the english voices. English do NOT sound like that at all in real life. Why can't they understand that like in 1942 when they went "TALLY HO" No one talks like that ever!
fancy some scones and teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! good show old chap!!!!
Ye olde Dick Van Dyke type talking
I think everyone should speak fluent cockney instead

lol didn't you expect it though every country has a stereotype it just happens that sounding like that and "scones and teeeeeeeeeeeee" is ours.
ea have no idea about english accents.
Are you in the SAS? Maybe they talk like that in the SAS
Is being a Brit steriotype a requirement for being in the SAS wot wot?
Just like being a cigar-chomping drawling yankee is a requirement for being the commnader for the USMC in BF2.

I like running them over and as they lay on the ground staring up into space dying they say "starlight" in the gayest Limey voice ever.
Yeah explain to me why the hell the have the britsh calling a medic starlight? I meen i'm american and know that is fubared.
Is the g36e a carbine or assault rifle?
G36E is the assault rifle in the G36 series, and that should be posted somewhere else... i dunno maybe help?
Wrong, in ww2 it was common for commanders to say Tally Ho!. So don't say thay no one "EVER" talks like that.superseal17 wrote:

The thing I dont understand is why they scream "Starlight!" for Medic. Or maybe Im misunderstanding it. Otherwise, I love the stereotypical speaking
"Starlight" in RATEL (Radio Comms Procedure) is the codename for a medic. The Brit, Australian, American and Canadian Defence Forces all use this. There is a whole set of codewords for calling a particular specialist over a radio net.
What "English" voices are you referring to? I havent played any BF2 maps with that, or am I overlooking something? (Or should this be in the BF2:SF section?)
its SF as he said hes was playing SAS, on which map u saw SAS in BF 2? O.o (but ur right he should have posted that in the SF section of this forum)
well and Starlight... its ok for me.. even we were forced to use that on a NATO maneuvre...
just because someguys dont know about military codes they thinks its wrong.. hmm strange ^^. as long as the dont call weapons in a strange way like calling the "m-4".. "commando" all of a sudden it shal be ok

...and to quote someone else from another forum: "Dropbears, your area!"
What a stupid ass topic. It's a not a realistic game and never will be. Would take too much effort for EA to make it realistic. You guys want stuff you'll never get in this game. So just enjoy what you have and play the game. You want to play a realistic army combat based game go download Americas Army. Where there's no bunny hopping, no jumping and shooting at same time, no shooting while prone driving rolling, M203 does not arm till it goes 15 feet, where breathing affects your aiming and flashbangs take health away. Cause a flashbang in real life does hurt. A flashbang can cause permenant damge to eye sight and some times permenant blindness .
So what are you doing here then guffaw, snort, tip tip. I'm UK, I'm allowedlush-kil wrote:

For this being such a "stupid ass topic", you wasted a lot of time responding to it.
