K I have two choices and I want your guys' opinions

1. Wait for the 1.4 patch, install,a nd if it doesn't work, re-install BF2 install 1.4 full and it will work
2. Re-install BF2, download 1.3 full and start playing BF2 again. Install 1.4 when it comes out.

Now the real problem is, do I want to risk re-installing? It cost me $100 to fix my computer so that my computer would actually run BF2. I was thinking though, I could just re-install now, and if it screws up like when I got the game, then no big deal, I wouldn't be able to play anyways.

What should I do? 1 or 2? I really wanna play BF2 before going back to school, so I don't want to wait for the stupid 1.4 patch.

Install with 1.3 and play now ... you will graduate from school before the 1.4 patch is released.

Why would you want anything from my computer? It sucks. I'm leaning toward option 2 though. Big risk of never playing BF2 again though until I get a new computer.

Even if I did wait for 1.4 to come out and it didn't work because I only have 1.4 beta v2, I'd have to re-install the game anyways, so might as well re-intsall now.

I know you had problems in the past, remember your posts, but I really cant think of any reason why uninstalling/reinstalling BF2 should cause the kind of damage you are worried about. At some point you are going to have to reinstall anyway, and when 1.4 comes out it will be much better to reinstall and apply the full patch. So my opinion, option B, get playing, then if that works you will be more confident when it comes to deciding what to do when 1.4 comes out.
If you reinstall, and then your computer blows up, take it as a sign from God that you must concentrate on your schoolwork

lol perfect broncobullfrog, just perfect. I like everything you just said there. It won't blow up, it'll just load up a black screen when I try to play. You made a great point, and I'm gunna reinstall.

Uninstall BF2 and forget about it and wait for BF2142
