Im looking into buying a joystick for flying better in choppers and planes.. Although i can fly planes with a keyboard pretty good, i still want to know if it is worth buying a joystick.. Ive heard its much better for choppers, is that right?? Which Joystick, in your opinion, is the best?? Ive heard logitech r good

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and it suits me perfect.

But I use keyboard for the choppers.

And yes, you should buy one, you'll see it's much better than K&M.

i use the mouse for choppers and the joy for jets- i have a saitek cyborg evo which works well. Also, logitech makes one like the cyborg which is more comfortable- dont get one too advance because bf2 wont be able to use it's main features-

I have a Saitek ST290 Pro

Its the lower end of their line price wise but performs wonderful and i love it. My only regret is that it has no buttons on the base of the jystick but i have adjusted and gotten used to it. (when i bought it wasnt paying attention enough to notice)

I use joystick for chopper and jet.

Lots of people say muse and keyboard for chopper but i tried that and joystick is way better IMO.

i only use keyboard.. i hate using keyboard and mouse

I'm glad I found my 6+ year old joystick in the basement. Works just fine and really helped my flying. You don't need a $100 joystick either, it may help a little more though.

Its awesome.

But the "best" joystick may be the Saitek x52

bombing takes some time to get used to w/ a joystick, you may get confused at 1st.
Dog fighting comes much faster and w/ a joystick its always a constant smooth motion instead of haveing to pick up the mouse and re-adjust it, and w/ a keyboard u gotta tap the keys to make odd turns.

But yes I fly much better

ok..i cant fly with a mouse its impossibe but the keyboard is ok.. i got 19000+ kills with it so it has 2 be ok

man I hate to see so many people using mouse & keyboard for choppers. Sure it's a little harder to get used to flying choppers with joysticks but it's worth it. Let's see you mouse/keyboard users do a high speed vertical barrel roll at low altitude and live to see another day.

dude im actually pretty good at barrel rolls just using my keyboard and arrows..but i know that u get a smoother ride with a keyboard

i found my good old sidewinder joystick, kicks ass, really responsive, and i think it was only like £40 when i bought it ages ago for mechwarrior 4. and recently ive switched to usin the stick for choppers, an i gota say, its much better, my k/d ratio in a chopper has gone up loads because of it
