And yeah, really wish it was seperated into Pilots and Gunners, i know for sure a lot of the 'top pilots' on the heli category are just gunners.

You always here about soloing in Attack Choppers, but have you ever found some one soloing in a Black Hawk???
I love flying the Hawk and when there's no one to transport i go soloing and picking up stuck troops, you would be surprised how much a mini-gun line of fire will make the enemy hide.  Soloing in a BH is harder then a AC but thats just my opinion.

its doesent take skil just practice, its lame and cheap but with the crap gunners u find alot out there u almost have no chance.
i mean im up there lining up for a helo that dident see us yet, then they start mini gunning from 300m. thats where il land right away and shout Bail out!!!.

And to get a good gunner it takes a good pilot. The pilots should be awarded more than 1pt for every kill the gunner gets

Watch my helo vid, I don't use macros. For me, its F2, Right click, Fire, guide, Numpad 1, & look for next target. I went 25:0 soloing in my last round last night. I was on my clan server and my teammates wanted to snipe, so I soloed. My friend, Tankgunner, is a good pilot, and when him and I get up together, there'll be hell to pay. Thing is, I get killed more when he flies because he can't see what I see. Even over VIOP I still can't communicate fast enough to him that there's a helo up and left. Soloing, I'd see it and spin up and let off a missile and kill them (usually). My flying skills are decent, my tving skills are great and my soloing is good.

I was stuck with a really bad gunner/pilot last night. He couldn't stay in the air for more than 2 minutes, didn't line up shots, and when he was gunner, he'd miss everything and shoot w/ the MG at every chance. So, I just groundpounded until he got bored and went and soloed afterwards. Fun stuff.

IMO the chopper is very weak, its far too easy to flank it because there is no one in thsi game who dosen't open themselves up to Tank fire OR AT fire(Which every single helicopter pilot under estimates)

I have an easier time shooting down those weak choppers them Tanks

It all depends...
If the guy is seriously good, ( i have met some immense solo pilots ), then let him be i say.
If he can own the entire other side with one chopper and no gunner, then chapeau to him.
if he can use rockets and TV, well let him, just imagine this solo pilot has access to the TV in the main cockpit

Personally, I cannot fly a chopper without a gunner, or the other way round.
But that is because i am not as good as some players in the chopper, and I like teamwork.

If the guy cannot fly well, or isnt a pro, then he should allow a gunner in.
Just to be sure.
