BF2S Forums Crash

hmm...well sempron isnt what you should have gone for to play this kindof game cause its like the celeron of the AMDs and your vid card isnt one for gaming its really basic especially since agp.

I checked some reviews on this vid card and most people agree that its a good basic video card but its not meant for gaming.

but after all is said and done you should still at least be able to play with low settings (did you try that?) maybe your playing it with high settings or a high resolution.

I used to run Bf2 with the following rig and runned pretty smoothly on medium settings

Athlon xp 2500+ @1.8Ghz (but better then your sempron)
512Mb of ram
Vid card was a 5600XT 128Mb AGP

So based on this you should at least be able to run it either at low or medium settings

Don't give up, wait for 1.4. CTD's should be fixed.

yup it is true that this game is frustrating and almost not worth the wait for that damned 1.4 ...what is the most frustrating is that some of their patches just created more problems...thats just really bad on EA/dices part. dont make games if you can only do a piss-poor job.

It wont be the game thats the problem , 1000s of people play it everyday hassle free.
I would look at the setup of your pc before spouting how crap BF2 is , true 1.3 is a pain but the odd server crash isnt enough to give up on a game you paid for.

yeah but aside from those issues theres all the problems that arent related to the setup of the pc...for example mine. I work as a comp tech and play pretty much every game and dont have a single problem in any other game so a lot of folks are having problems without having it come from their pc setup. But as you said some would be related to pc setup...but isnt that true for any game?
