Anyway, I remember when I took them, a Science A* was 55%.
Way too easy.
WTF 55% an A*... what the fucks a fail??

Where I come from <50% is fail, 90%+ in good, most get 60-75%. and the whole a,b,c... grading system is so outdated, real raw marks is the only way to really compare things. Then they scale on difficulty and rank people.

Yes. National average (UK atleast) is around striaght Cs. But if you can be bothered to do the coursework well that normally helps a bit!

It was only science that was 55%.
History was I think 85% for an A*, etc. etc.

But really percentages don't mean a whole lot because most courses have the coursework option (that of course I had to do, stupid teachers ¬_¬).

English GCSE's are harder
Not these days....
Exlpain.

Im not a stupid person. I got (this year) 7A*s and 2As. Last year i got Maths GCSE A* (took it a year early so took a Further Maths AS Level GCSE course thingy this year) and ICT GCSE A* (so took Business and Communication Systems this year). The year before that i did a half course ICT GCSE and got A*.

That gives me a total of 9 1/2 A*s, 2As. Wana know what the 2As where in? English and English Lit. English was hard this year, it just was.
