how do you not connect to servers not using gamespy? i was wondering how this is possible i am so sick of gamespy it always lags and it severly annoys me and many people. thx.
well i never installed gamespy and dont have a prob connecting to any servers. just find the one you want and click "join server" in the server list.
No need to use gayspy to play the game
I dont launch gamespy, but the game is powered by it. (I think the logo is on the bottom of the screen.)
Its probably bundled with the game in some fashion. Are you talking about that or are you launching gamespy and trying to find games through the thing they have on the web?

You don't need gamespy to play online.
yeah, i was talking about that. it seems gamespy does power the servers. what a horrible thing to do.
Wonder how much Gayspy paid EA to get their crap on BF2 owner's computers...
