There are alot of stats that are provided by bf2s that i dont think alot of people understand. Here im going to make a list of a few i found interesting. I will be editing this, and add any other interesting stats so feel free to suggest some.
Starting out w/ the main stats page... I will use mine for reference (stats will change slightly over time because i play alot ;p) http://bf2s.com/player/59073477/
forgive the picture... just tryin to make it as compressed as possible.. will upload a better one when i can

these are mainly things you want to check if you want to gauge a players skill...
1. Accuracy. This is one decent indication of a players skill. Of course there are many ways to artifically increase this (you can check their individual accuracies to see if this is the case). I dont know what % is good and bad, thats for you to decide, just try to remember to compare this. In the end.. all this number is the total hits divided by total 'shots' . A 'shot' includes using defibrilators.. knives... all weapons... and of course random spray of fire. I also believe a 'hit' is counted every time there is a registration... so if you hit a vehicle w/ someone in it.. that will count as a hit. I dont think any accuracy is recorded to do with vehicles (say tv's or minigun fire from a heli).
2. SPM. This is another indication of a players skill. This is just your score divided by total time played. The higher the better... Again there are many ways to artifically affect this. In my experience i get a higher spm playing infantry only servers. If someone has a SPM twice yours... they will get twice the amount of points in the same amount of time.
3. K/D ratio. This is just total kills divided by total deaths. This is another thing to keep not of when evaluating a player. The higher the better... This IS effected by vehicles.
4. Kill streak. This is just a fun thing to look at. This is the number of people they killed without being "killed". if you are defib'd and brought back to life, the kill streak will continue... the second you have to respawn.. it will start at 0 again.
5. Death streak. same thing... but you can see how bad a day someone was having =]. most of these happen when your getting camped ><.
6. Acc. If you want to see which weapons you are most accurate with, click on the word "Acc" and it will sort it. You can do the same thing for all the other menus. Say you want to find out which maps you play the most, this would allow you to easily see that.
7. 74.38% you can hover your mouse of that and get a pop up with information. This data popup is available with any word that is underlined in a similar fassion on the stats page. In this case it contains how many shots, and hits for the defibrilator. (to get total accuracy, it just adds all these up... you can look at totals stats instead of adding them all up...)
8. K/d and ratio. Kills are kills while using this weapon of course...kinda. I think that if you get a kill while holding that weapon, it counts towards this. Say you get a claymore kill while holding this weapon, i believe it adds to this total (i may be wrong, but there must be some reason why all the % of kills dont add up to 100%). Then theres the question what are deaths? From my understanding you get deaths for that particular weapon when you are Holding it and you die. Then ratio is just k/d. (again you can sort by k/d to find your best ratio... altho k/d isnt everything =])
9. total kills. If you hover over the kills total (under weapons section) it shows you that it accounts for 57% of all kills. This shows you how often the player plays infantry. Apparently i play infy about half of the time.
10. Total kills with equipment. This will just show you how many kills you get with equipment, but may be interesting to see if someone is a "claymore whore" or "grenade whore".
11. total vehicle kills. hovering over this shows you the percent also.. this is how you tell if someone is a vehicle whore =].. something interesting you can do with this information is figure out how many kills per minute they get with a certain (or all) vehicles pretty easily. in my case... I have been in a helicopter 190 hours. lets compare in minutes so 14,928/(190 * 60) = 1.309 = number of kills per minute while in a chopper. You can now compare this number to infantry numbers.. i do this by going to weapon total... so 25135 / (284 * 60) = 1.479. What does all this mean? its a misconception by many people that think being in a vehicle increases your spm alot. when in fact it my best vehicle (chopper) is actually less spm than my infantry. Note that this is only Kills, not including rezing.. or kill damage assist, or driver ability points, etc. You can do these comparisons with much of the data.
12. Next Update. Ever check your stats, and they havnt updated, even though bfhq has, and you know they have changed, well check this out. Your stats can be updated once every two hours. Im not the best with webservers but my guess is this greatly reduces the strain on the servers that collect data. If everyone could update whenever they wanted, you could have millions of queries a minute >. So if it isnt updating, you can check this time and see how long it is until it will update again. (note that this will update these stats, but the history flash graphs n such dont update for that day until the next day i believe...) So instead of hitting refresh constantly, just remember to see how long till you can update again.
13. Cost($50 base). WTF IS THIS?! heh it seemed really confusing to me for the longest time. Its not so confusing tho... saying you baught the game for 50 dollars, the cph is the number of cents you will have spent per hour of game play. so the more time you play.. he lower the cents per hour. mathematically its just (50/(Total TIME in hours)) * 100. in my case its roughly 50/(618)*100 = 8.09.
14. Add to leader board. You can quickly access people stats (including your own) through use of a leaderboard.. instead of having random people on yours, just click it and it will add them to your leader board. another good use is to have a list of all your clanmates, just so you can check out w/ they are doing. beware.. resetting your cookies will reset this i believe.
Now besides the more obvious stuff on the 'stats' tab, we will move to 'history'
go to a stats page and click on "Score". This is one of my favorite stats to check. Using this you can see your SPM per DAY. So if you think you did well one day... you can check this out and see what your spm is. Ill explain in more detail how to do this in a second. But starting with the first line graph, we can find some data already. This of course is your score.. but if you think about it, the steeper the line, the more points you gained in the shorter amount of time. this is of course considering its updated every day. if there are juchks and 2...3..4 days.. it can be messsed up. Then of course if the line is flat.. that means there were no points gained (inactive).. notice in mine i was inactive for 2 months. Besides that i dont find much interesting with that graph.
Now look at the bottom left graph (it can be long) This is what you use to get your spm per day. Just look at your earning rate... then divide that number by 60. the higher the better. then you can see what day you did the best... and what was your best spm. if you dont check it often enough... it will compile a few days into one. Now what is really cool, when looking at my spm from the latest date.. skim it until may 19. you can see that it gradually gets better and better. this is partially because i played more and more infantry only servers.. but also because i was getting better. Then i took a 2 months break and its a big drop. altho recent i havnt cared so much for spm when back then i did.
now lets look at the bottom right graph... it holds the total amount of points during that time period. You can also use it to figure out the spm.. just take the total points divided by total points. Again note that sometimes multiple dates are combined for an unusually large number... just check the total # hours to see if its reasonable for a days play. you can use this just to see what day you got the most points on, or just compare how much u played per day. note that when looking at score.. it is almost always positive (i guess techincally it could be negatve... tk much?) but other stats can be negative which is why sometimes things will have a negative side and positive. an example is accuracy. if your accuracy is negative.. this means it was lower than the average and decreased that day (not a good thing)...
now click on the SPM charts, ill try to explain what these graphs are meaning, i dont find this particularly interesting, but i understand some people find these graphs confusing. the bottom left is the amount of change per hour per day. so in this case it will be a very small change (your accuracy doesnt radically change). It can also be a negative change for that day.. and if it is, there is no bar graph for that day.
Then looking at the right graph this is the total change per day... this too can be positive or negative, which is why there can be changes on left and right.
now looking at ranks and more, something interesting i find from that is the % of time you placed in top 3. Just look at stat box, then the "Gold, Silver, Bronze Stars" row, and the "per round" column. In my case its 0.4093 or 40.93%
if you want to see what is your averge round length, look at the time row and the round column, and divide that number by 60 (seconds) and that gives you minutes per round.
If anyone has any other interesting stats theyve found, please tell me. Also tell me things to remember to look at that you feel are important.
more to come...
