Not that this purely hypothetical joke will ever come to pass but I believe Ahmedinijad would win it if Bush had to go in without an earpiece. It doesn't really say much for Ahmedinijad though - he won't defeat Bush with arguments, he'd defeat Bush with Bush's own ineptitude.

I agree with you. I believe Ahmedinijad is using this as a political weapon. He knows Bush won't debate him. I would like to see it however. I wonder if we could pinch hit Clinton for Bush. You have to admit Clinton could con the stripes off a tiger.

Iran's political position is as solid as a rock. They know that, and there is no possible conclusion to a debate other than a victory for Iran. The only way Iran can lose out in this battle against the English Bloc would be through superpolitical means. The english powers could invade with justification and defeat Iran, but Iran is betting the risks of an invasion are too great for the english powers to attempt it without real justification.
