It used to be 3 icons (Stuff, Recycle bin, and BF2S EU...they're still there, just with 50 million other icons)

This is the messiest mine has been. On the bottom left I keep shortcuts to my three internal hard drives and my external hard drive (which is turned off currently).
In the middle I have documents that I am accessing on an almost-daily basis.
On the top I have a text document with random information that I could need at any time (CD keys, etc.)
The toolbar across the top is auto-hide. It's my links. I rarely visit websites that are not in my links, so I rarely type URL's. The toolbar across the bottom is not autohide because I found that to be annoying. I use the quicklaunch too much.
I use mozilla, and I have yet to figure out how to get the address bar on my bottom toolbar to open in mozilla rather than IE. if you have an idea, let me know

not too bad i guess. my desktop is usually cleanish, lappy is usually a complete mess.
