It is a well known fact that the MK3A1 "Jackhammer" runs very low on ammo after killing one person. Ussally I need to fire off 4-5 shots to get a kill with it. not only does this greatly decrease the effectiveness of the Jackhammer (to the point where the pump shot guns are a better choice most times) but is also inaccurate. in real life the MK3A1 has a ten round clip (need proof? look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancor_Jackhammer). Increasing its clip size to its true size of ten would make the gun much better and by doing so make the engineer class more played, which is nessacary because it is by far the least played class for these (amoung other *cough* repair points are to hard to get reasons).

The jackhammer is a one shot-one-kill gun at close ranges if you aim for the head....
Up to 7 kills before reload, that's pretty good.
But I still prefer my pump guns above jackhammer. You don't have to worry about accuracy with the jacko though one of those shells has gotta hit them.

Dice must be worried about the balance issues that would ensue if an extra 3 shells are added. That is probably why the jackhammer reload time suck so much, to discourage players using the engineers as an assault class.
Perhaps make the damage done abit weaker, tweak up the reload time and it might be alright. A poor man's dao12. But I personally prefer the pump action shotgun for its better damage.

Well, the G3 (A3 variant, which the in-game model is) is MEANT to have only 20 bullets, and I believe that EA should consider, if to do anything with the G3 clip size, changing the clip size to 18 as is sometimes the procedure to avoid wearing out the magazine spring. Just a thought. Oh, and yes, the Jackhammer should have 10 shells but if EA don't do it in this patch then I'm sorry but that weapon is a dead dodo.F_O_Assault wrote:

I know it is only a prototype but it still has a ten round clip. The reason it runs out so fast is the small clip, uncontrolable recoil, and it oly kills in one hit a mega close range. The engineer is the most underpowered class, he is basically and anti-tank without armour or a rocket launcher.
