Don't believe the lies. The SAS gun for medic is quite easily the best rifle in BF2, period. Not to mention, a lot of other guns got improvements that didn't need it. F2000 improves the already fine AR101 and M4. SCAR improves the already fine carbines. I hear that the support gun upgrade is a worthy one too. Even the silly little smg the engineers get gives them the OPTION of some sort of ranged combat.
All new SF weapons are UPGRADES not just Aleternatives.
I'm not against using SF weapons in normal BF2, but before you can use them wait for all the rest of the world to have it not armerica got SF before EU.

Wow, this is quite the explosive topic here. I got SF 3 days after it came out, and I like it. The new weapons aren't anything that great. I still like my G36. Although the newmedic weapon is sweet. I have found that I don't play all that much better with the new weapons. I bought it because night fighting and squad based combat seemed like a nice change from Planes and Tanks and Choppers raining hell down on us ground pounders.
Was the game worth the 29.99 I paid? I think so. When I compare the amount of entertainment I get playing SF for 15-18 cents an hour to going to a Bar or Card Club, it is a much more economically sound decision.
Oh, and I don't live with mum & dad, have a decent job, pay all my bills. And can still buy myself the game.

In my opinion they only look f*ing cool, but theyre almost theyre some variatons of the G3 except a few.
And the G3 is still one of the most accurate guns in the game. With it you can overcome every player, new weaps or not. The only unbalanced thing is the flashbang. I agree with people complaining that it rather should have stayed in the expansion.
By the way, I wonder how guys would have reacted if EA decided to include the tear gas launcher in the main game.

I've played with the unlocks on BF2. I agree the Medic gun and the Assault are the really only big upgrades. I do like the F2000 after I pluck it off a dead guy, it is nice but still takes four hits at full health, the only gun that blasts with 3 hits is the G3 in which I also like. And being a Human Meat Shield I definately need some firepower. The Medic is a huge upgrade, it's accuracy is like the old G36 upgrade for Spec Ops.

So you dont have $30 dollars? Thats not very much money. There are millions of ways to make $30. Mow someones yard, GET A JOB?, bug mom and dad, collect cans lol, sell something on ebay u dont use anymore, start a lemonade stand, go door to door tankin I NEED SPEC FORCES donations. Why is it that people assume that people DONT have jobs.... i got a decent job, and 30$ or however much it is in australia i find is hard to come by unless i start dealing again, i pay 240$ per week rent 960$ per month, then there are bills, food, car maintainence, girlsfriend, baby.... fuck live my life then tell me about getting togther spare cash....
anyways with all the pros and cons of SF i still think its an unfair advantage and i still think that SF should stay SF and BF2 with BF2... but thats my opinion.

well this new weapons isn't so good. There's some better attributes in those weapons but also some worse attributes so those weapons aren't unfair in my opinion (sure it would be cool if every one would have this new weapons). But there's one damn unfair advantage and it's flash grenades. I have SF and I also have that Assault kit unlocket but I don't use it because 2 reasons. 1st one is that unlock weapon suck and 2nd one is that flash grenade is unfair so there's no reason to use it. Well I'm not been flashed so many times but I know how lame it is. So yes I think same... There should be differend servers for those who use those SF unlock and for those who don't. But anyways... You can get those SF unlocks even you don't have SF. Just if some of your friend have SF he can unlock those for you. So he/she just need to log in with your account and get 1 points in SF while playing and then wait a while. And after that he/she need log in again and he/she can unlock those weapons for you. And after that you can use those weapons in BF2 even you don't have SF and it works well
The disturbing part is the unlocks are purely meant for bf2 vanilla. It's to force people to upgrade. I have SF and yes I think it ruins the original. You can not use your unlocks in SF only the teams that have them. While I realise it's the only place to use them without ruining SF balance too... So yea sucks to be you I guess. Also.. yea G36E is SICK.. except I prefer AK-101 at really close range due to fully auto.. but burst is better in most cases.

The first time i gotted flashed (no it wasnt wisher bashing his bishop!!!) see "what did u do while waiting for BFsf to load"...i thought thats fooo king cool......im very lucky cos my bro in law bought me the game as an xmas present...£19.99 over here in the UK....new weapons are ok i definately like the option of the MG36 cos the PKM is crap! but then my accuracy is crap as well lol...as for the other guns i dont think much of em! i still prefer the more powerful G3 to the new nice sight GL gun and the G36 is still my main choice of spec opps gun, as for the engy MP7 i e-mailed EA months ago saying that it was shite that all he had was a close quarters pump action....ok engy can take out tanks etc with AT but u get killed or punished cos players cant avoid ur mines...now that sucks!...tear gas is good but atleast u cant use it in main BF2..i guess if u could then that would piss a lot of peeps off....lol and u cant use grapple or zip lines either, that brings up the point as to why u can only use flash nades really doesnt it! maybe it is unfair but i personnally dont mind, its all down to individual skill and accuracy(and pure luck in my case) not the weapons....what will EA offer next i wonder?
In my case it's not an issue of not having the money to buy SF. I was planning to buy it until EA decided to make it into an extortion scheme. Now I say fuck em. Haven't played BF2 since. Wish I could get a refund for that since they fucked it up. Not the 1st time EA has screwed me over but it might be the last.
With the exception of the G36E (Medic), I find myself using the original weapons more and more. I don't know why, but, they seem to kick as much ass as the rest of them. I can still take down many people who've got the F2000 with my standard USMC assault rifle or the MEC one.
And yes, I do own SF, and I do have all the BF2 Unlocks, except the DAO, and have 2 SF Unlocks. And the SCAR-L....wtf? Is it me, or is the M4 just plain better??

Tbh affording or not affording its is neither here or their,Sf is an expansion and as such is an add on to Bf2 and so it aint a seprate game as such,so if the is something u use in Sf,you should be able to use it in BF2,so stop wingeing

How about someone dig deep into his SF expansions files and get the SF weapons data ? Damage, deviation, etc.. then we will know for sure wether the SF weapons are actually better than the BF2 ones.

WTF are you talking about? In the past expansions have not been integrated this way. I've owned numerous games and expansions, and they never integrated it this way because the expansion is meant to be a new game or a continuation of the original, simply using the game engine and basic components of the original. I paid my money for BF2, and when I play the game I expect to have the same options as anyone else playing the game. I have the money for SF, but I'm not interested in playing SF, I want to play BF2. If you want to pay for your way to better/additional weapons then go get an MMORPG and buy up all the weapons and crap you want.
I still think this was a mistake. I have no problems with them maintaining the ranking system. A kill in one counts towards rank progress for both. That should also continue with medic, engineer, resupply, and anything else, since they are basically the same for both games. Allowing weapons to migrate just ruins the game for anyone not capable of, or having no desire, to purchase the expansion.

It's a game, and a good player turns a bad situation to their advantage. I have picked up many SF guns and have got some good kills with them, but i much prefere the G36C to the SCAR-L. And tho the F2000 has good accuracy, grenade launcher and flash bangs, the G3 kit has normal grenades and a smoke bomb, which can sometimes be better. The problem with the flashbang is, when you throw one, your most likely gonna blind your team mates too. I much prefere the smoke bombs because of the many times it's saved my ass.
