BF2S Forums Saitek X-52 JOYSTICK!!! should i buy

I've seen that joystick set for sale at Best Buy.  Long story, short, it isn't cheap, but it's definatly worth it.

one thing i dont know is if bf2 supports it i could ask ea but idk how to contact them at all

yeah im getting it for my flight sim games mostly

alright im also building a  new computer so that will come in hand

I have a Saitek ST90 and it doesnt work with BF2, not sure if its just my one or if its Saitek's joysticks but just make sure that one works.

Oh yes!!!!!

I bought one a while ago when F4AF came out a while ago - I can safely say it is the dogs bollocks.

It has so many buttons, hats and sliders that you will run out of things to control. There's a small mouse on the right side of the throttle that you can activate with your thumb - this is great for games like Falcon where you can click cockpit buttons without taking your hands of the controllers.

The software is good too - you can map the controls to any key commands you like and pre-made profiles are starting to emerge now. On the sliders you can map different keys to different ranges of the slider i.e. 0-10% could key A, 11% to 90% could be key B, 91% to 100% key C. There's loads of features like this.

The build quality is excellent and it's nice and heavy. Its precise too - you don't get any drift when you go hands free.

Regarding BF2 - it works brilliantly!  Since you can map it however you like you'll have no trouble getting it setup how you want.

Did I mention you should buy one?

my mates got the x52 stick with seperate throttle,had a go myself & its a realy good stick with full support for bf2 all buttons work no probs & easy to setup.
myself i preffer to use my joypad for jets,but when i tried the x52 it did feel pretty comfortable after a few goes getting used to it.
its got more buttons/dials/analogue sticks than you'll need for bf2 lol,also lights up realy nice & feels solid & well made.
its pretty big though so make sure you got plenty of room to mount it (on your desk lol not sexualy).

Too bad you can't get it from Newegg, then it would be only 100$ instead of 160.  I hear it's a really good one so I think you should go for it.

That looks like a sweet Joystick, That Throttle Control will rock in the helicopter, instant Perfect Hover...

I was going to buy something like that, but i settled for a cheaper Logitech Joystick, serves me fine, and the only game i play with Jets is BF2, so i dont need a expensive one..

it rocks get it referbished only 64 $ : ) works great
