For steer right you want to twist the joystick to the right

to the opposite for the left....it's not rocket science

I can make it real easy for you, but you have to ask nicely.

Go into the controls section, find the controls for planes (you'll need to repeat this for choppers).  Click the box that relates to roll.  When prompted, tilt your joystick left or right (as appropriate).  Wait for BF2 to recognise the joystick movement (this can take a while and sometimes needs to be repeated).  Click the box that relates to steering.  Twist your joystick in the appropriate direction.  Once again, BF2 is not very good at recognising joystick movements in this screen, so you might need to do it a few times.  Follow the same procedure for pitch (going up or down) and for throttle.

It's best to try this in single player mode.  You'll probably find BF2 doesn't properly register it the first couple times.  Also, you'll need to tweak sensitivity a little.  Use the logitech software to do this.  You can manipulate sensitivity (how quickly it responds when you move the stick) and dead zone (how much "play" it has before registering movement and acting on it).

Hope this helps,
Max.

I got it guys...thx a lot...I found out setting steer right/left is just twisting the stick...lol
I still havent found a use for the 6 buttons on the bottom.

its such a weird transition from a mouse to the joystick... lineing up for bombing runs is a bit difficult still, but im getting there!

Hi Gentlesouljah.e,

I'm sorry for the late reply but wanted to be at home to give you step-by-step directions on how to do it.

Double-click the big W in your system tray.  This opens the Logitech Profiler software.  It will show you a picture of your joystick.  In the bottom left corner are buttons for the X-axis, Y-axis, Throttle and Twist.  Click on any one of these and it will give you a menu.  Select "Axis properties".  Tweak the values as appropriate.  You might need to do these for all four axes.  Personally, I just did it for the X axis (roll).

I hope this helps,
Max.
