I have some stupid assignment for a legal studies class where i have to conduct a bunch of surveys. Luckily the topic was my choice, hence i get to survey the internet on software/music piracy ^_^

So, here is the first poll of a few to come. Dont forget to post up comments and share (spam) your viewpoints to the whole community.

I've probably only downloaded 5 songs in the past 6 months from something other than itunes.  The ones I downloaded illegally I only did so because I couldn't find them on itunes...so...no.

I haven't downloaded any music for about 5 months, But I will say that I have never brought or obtained music legally for the past 6 years.

Unfortunitly with the way prices are who would buy a cd is $30!

I do like the idea how the internet companys are trying to fit in with the new buy and download.

But as long as there a psp programs out there music companys will always be fighting a lossing battle.

Artists make most of their money from tours/performances, not royalties. Besides, for most artists, they have like 5 good songs on a cd of 15 tracks. Im not paying $18 for a cd that should cost $6. Besides, if i didnt dl it, someone else would

Uh, what?  They really don't.  Most of their money comes from merchandise, including album sales.

I download music off the internet, but not off P2P

I download most of my stuff off rapidshare and megaupload and stuff. More reliable, always there (not just new stuff) fastest speeds, etc. Plus I can bypass all the 'limitations', so i find it a better resource.
