I listen to this hourly on TS, but it's true.

The people that are testing this game now are either the missing link between man and ape, or are just 3 years old. All I see is things like;
"This is shit lolz, quake wars will be better" No, it won't
"How do I use my unlocks" I learnt how to use my unlocks after I got promoted in my first game, if I can figure it out, so can you, or at least don't spam a message every 30 seconds to find out.
"oh no, someone is glitching!!!!!11111!eleven" IT'S A FRIGGING BETA

I got in on the testing on the second wave, people weren't great back then, but I got a few squads running, if people had questions they asked them politely and actually had an intellectual capacity larger than a walnut so could work things out after being shown the way. Now all we get are people that treat this like a free game and if you spoil that game then you deserve to have your IQ lowered by at least 10 points with the verbal diarrhea that they spew out.

but quake wars WILL be better... as its not dice thats making it. That aside im not even bothereing playing this version because of all the crap that goes on. they slowed the gameplay down by nerfing the pods a bit and that other stuff.

EXACTLY. You just perfectly summarized it. Another thing I always read is "OMG I trasnported back to the hangar" "OMG I glitched through the wall in titan" NO KIDDING. THE TITAN IS GLITCHY. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. And the most teamwork I've experienced in the beta yet, albeit for a short time, was when I was in a squad with xxCriminalxx and (I forget the name, another |TOP| member).

Sad thing is just that EA and Dice depend on the feedback of just those n00bs for one simple reason: They're the ones that actually bring them the money, the clueless masses. The n00bfriendlier the game is, the more likely it is to be bought by them. And the majority of players out there is the occasional player who takes the game when they find the time, not those who rack up badges and promotions.
Is DICE to blame for nerfing good parts of the gameplay? Wholeheartedly yes, for BF2 and BF2142.
Are they to blame considering they're a company trying to survive in a free market economy? No.

Good post,

The think is some people get in BF2142 expecting BF2. I didn't, the overall feeling is the same, but you need to redefine your playing style, and if you were use to squad up and play as a team, then you should do good.

Also based on what I have seen, unlocks help you improve some aspect of the game (abilities) and new "tester" do even bother to read those and complaing "we can run"... "I can't snipe".

My only problem is to find a good server, that's it.

People like me actually want to play the game and yet some 12yo noobs seem to of had no school and got the beta and they sit and complain. I really want to play this and yet some people hate this game and continue to play it and not give up there CD Key it pisses me off. Us real BF2 Veterans should get beta keys not these 12yo Halo kids.

That's why I think EA/Dice/fileplanet/whoever should've been more selective of the beta keys...... don't mean to be cocky but I know I deserve it more than at least 50-100 idiots playing the beta at least... and that goes for many other people too. If they don't like it, and complain, they shouldn't have the beta. It's for improvements, not entertainment. If they just got the beta because they're cheapasses and don't want to pay for an actual game, then screw them. If they honestly think they deserve to have the beta, then why are so many complaining about it? There's a difference between complaing/whining and criticizing/suggesting.

I'm actually pissed about when I hear so many are complaining... they honestly don't deserve to have it and they shouldn't even be allowed to buy the game... because of their uncooperation. Hardware ban for any beta testers who bitch and whine. That's what I would do.

I know it's a beta but jesus! Every server I've been in for the past 2 hours has crashed, and in all of them the titans blew up. I've CTD about 5 times now too.
How am I supposed to test anything if I can't play the damn game?
