I hope its gonna be Mexico, going to it in January, but for now I think Spanish Islands (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Mallorca etc) can't really decide which one was the best.

And I just came back from Aruba, and that was just mighty awesome, hotel on the beach, step out side and I stepped on the beach, beautitful water, I have parasailed, jetskiied, walked over the bottom of the ocean, wearing a kinda of helmet, I have dived, snorkeled and saw beautiful fish. Yeah it was cool.

Must mean you cant remember

My best holiday so far must be Jamaica and Barbados, a more relaxed atmosphere than Barbados can`t be found me thinks.

Barbados : Was taking the bus from Bridgeport to Speightstown and the driver stopped and chatted with everyone he knew - and he knew alot of people ! (it was a long busride)

Jamaica : Me and my GF was gonna buy some icecream at Devon House - first we had to order what flavor, then we got a handwritten note with out order, then we headed over to the counter to pay for our order, we then got a receipt, we took the receipt over to the icecreamcounter to get our order executed and we got our icecream.

Funny thing thought it was the same old lady doing all the work

First time i went to Paris. Supposed to stay a week, then travel on to Germany, ended up staying for 6 weeks, living on Red wine and bread to make my money last. Still the most beautiful city i have ever seen.

Sounds good actually. Although the Marbella bit wouldn't be my style at all.

I do quite a bit of travelling. My best holiday was my trip to Palestine, Israel and Jordan. It has not been matched since but I'm off to Cuba in 3 weeks time so that might better it (but I doubt it). Seriously - the middle east is awash with the most fascinating history, architecture and landscapes on this earth. Go there NOW! (Helpful note to Americans - pretend you're Canadian).

To list a few of the things I did/visited there:

Visited the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque - the purported rock upon which Abraham prepare to sacrifice his child, where Muhammed supposedly ascended to heaven, where Kings David and Solomon, etc. built their Jewish temples and where the Knights Templar made their base and carried out excavations.

Visited the purported site of the birth of Jesus in the Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem, the West Bank!

Visited the purported site of the death and burial of Jesus in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre!!

Visited the Garden of Gethsemane!

Visited the purported site of where 'god' informed Mary that she was up the duff in Nazareth!

Climbed, with the help of Palestinians, through a hole in the West Bank wall that was then in its infancy at Abu Dis!

Visited various West Bank towns and hiked the Wadi Qelt valley to a monastery carved out of the side of a cliff face!

Climbed Masada without the aid of the gondola - the site of the last Jewish resistance in their doomed fight against the Romans, culminating in the mass suicide of 3000 people!

Floated in the Dead Sea under moonlight!

Visited the largest land-based crater on earth at Maktesh Ramon in the Negev Desert!

Snorkeled in the Red Sea - the one Moses did some cool magic tricks with! WooooO!

Visited Armageddon!

Visited Acre/Akko - the original base of the Crusaders in the holy land!

Visited various sites along the coast of the Sea of Galilee, where Jebus did magic tricks with fish and bread!! WoooO!

Visited the ancient capital of the Nabateans in Petra, Jordan - a spectacularly ornate and extremely well hidden city carved out of the mountains that was destroyed in an earthquake (as seen in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)!!!

You can check some pics from my hols here:

I add stuff on a regular basis as I upload it onto Fileshack.

Ibiza with the lads 1998. 18-30's, unfortunatly I dont qualify for an 18-30 anymore.  2 weeks of shagging welsh birds, drug taking, dancing in the finest nightclubs in the world drinking non stop for 2 weeks.  Dancing with Madonna being 1 highlight.  I was shagging some bird 1st night there and had my trainers, wallet n clothes pinched.  It had cost me about £200 in entrance fees n drinks before we decided to indulge in some "sand flicking", worked out the most expensive shag Ive ever had but the reputation I had with my mates was well worth it.

Lads, you have to do a "lads" holiday before your settled down with kids etc.  The 2 weeks cost me £2500 so save up 1st.

Only 2 places I have ever been to have I said I wanted to go back.  Rockstock - Germany and Ibiza

Sailing from England to New Zealand then Back Packing around the country

first part - To sail half way round the world was amazing a little scary at times but so relaxing, you have nothing to worry about, no going to work, no phoning the GF, no noise and bustle of the world just you an ocean and a boat.
second part - New Zealand is a Beautiful country with really really friendly people, loads to look at, loads to do all in a laid back country

Jinto - I haven't done this sailing stuff before, I been on a Barge in Llangollen and thats about as close as it gets.  I cant argue with what you say I fully take your word for it.  However,  What if you run outta Rizla? No 24 hour garage.  What if your extension lead dont reach arf way across the world and ya laptop battery goes down? How would I access this site?  How would I find out if Cardiff City still own the coca cola thing?  What if my GF heard about this jaunt to NZ and says something like "Im coming too".

Man, Im lready worrying.

lol we made sure we had everything we needed before we set off, at my local market £8 for a box of 100 zig zag papers (not that I took any doobie was worried about the authorities in Panama, what a bummer it would have been to be refused entry to NZ when I got there cos of a bit of pot), satelite for the tinternet but we didn't cos it would have cost a fortune (who cares how some dodgey football team are doing what were they called Cardiff !!! never heard of them j/k).  My GF had no choice "I'm off love only four spaces and I've just taken the last one". Just did lots of reading about 30 books in 3 months sailing.

Your story reminds me of Snooker, or Golf.  Its something thats made to look easy on the TV.  A challenge we take for granted and until you attempt it you probably wont appriciate, whats been achieved.  Its an achievement and one I know I'd be proud to tell the Grandkids about.  Nearly 100 days at sea, I know I couldnt do it.  You may disagree but I wouldnt want to do it.  I'd like to spend summer in the BB house but I'd miss my lil un too much.  The fishing bit gets me intrested but that would be it.  Im happy in any situation providing I have a bat and a ball to occupy me.

LOl at getting turned away the other side of the world due to the very last of ya wacky baccy, gutted dosent do it justice.

If I was to go on this "holiday" (for want of a better word) I'd need another 3 months off work just to recover I reckon.

+1 to you Cap'n Jinto

Western Samoa.  Beautiful place, blows Tahiti out of the water.  A lot of beautiful women there as well.

Runner up: Panama/Costa Rica.  Good times there!
