rather play a remade WW2 or WW1 battlefield with better graphics less problems/glitches/crashes. Future scenario may or may not be entertaining but history is much more fun. Yet...I'll still try it out - it's cheap entertainment compared to seeing a movie or attending an NFL football game (in per minute expenses) and far better (most of the time).

undecided as of yet. I have too many FPS to play ( CS Source, BF2, RoE ) as it is, and I'll only even consider buying BF2142 if they iron out the constant and annoying CTD's in BF2 and BF2142. Yes, folks, CTD's were a REAL crowd pleaser in BF2, and they are back in BF2142....

I hope for patch 1.4.

I'll never understand this, btw. CTD's were a non-issue in BF2 before 1.3, and I don't know of any FPS that has that problem, including previous EA products like BF1942 and BF Vietnam.
I wonder how EA could possibly fuck up that bad....

After the "big update" from valve (like 5 or 6 months ago), CS:Source had the same problem
("hl2.exe hat ein Problem festgestellt und musste beendet werden").
Almost everybody had ctd´s after this update. But Valve released a hotfix some days later.
This is how it should be done....

@Topic: I´m not going to buy it.

Welp, Ima buy it. I really dont like the gameplay if you've read my review, but the unlocks are really nice. Gives that feeling of "what am I gonna get next?" Once I get all the unlocks I'll probably quit it since the rest of the gameplay sucks. My attitude might change once I experience another map, but the TITAN wars are where its at.

Nope, not buying it. I'm so glad a got a beta key to try it out first.
Ignoring all the CTD issues (assuming that it gets fixed LOL) i think the game is a major let down. The whole game seems like it needs speeding up about 10-20%. The feeling of wearing a heavy suit/kit and plodding about slowly make the thing feel really awkward and frustrating to play. C'mon..faster !!!
I really think BF2 and POE2 are just miles better, maybe it's because they're more realistic, i dunno.
I'm not the only one who feels it's a bit naff compared to the original.

To make their shipping date of 10/10, they will need to have gone gold approximately two weeks from now (to allow time for production/packaging/shipping).

Don't expect many changes from what you have seen in beta 2, there just is not much time to make and test any serious changes. What you are seeing in Beta 2 will be very close to what you get in final. Looks to me like they will have to rely on later patches to clean up many of the issues...

i am definately buying 2142, already preordered it. i am in the beta right now and let me tell u, it is awsome and a major step up from bf2 when it comes to gameplay, graphics, unlocks, awards, and ranks.

Only if they fix this constant Connection Problem that you get after a while. Otherwise it will be hella of lot harder to level up normally.

Also so far, I like it and prolly will play it if it becomes stable.

Chose undecided. I've only had 6-7 rounds so far and if they weren't non stop connection problems then i was disconnected from the server before the round ended. If i manage to have to some proper rounds over the next 2 days I might be able to form an opinion but right now its unplayable.
