BF2S Forums Boost/flares bar on planes?

im still trying to work this out- say im flying and hit boost, the bar begins to decrease (as it should) then I stop boosting and hit the flares, the bar disappears and starts rebuilding itself (for the next flare dump) but if I press boost some more, theres still some left but I dont know how much- infact it doesn't show the boost bar again till the flares fill up, even though I can still use it.

Am I missing something? I dont want to see the flares, Im more interested in my boost level....how can I do that, or is it fixed as it is and just Dices way of not having to code in a second bar?
