Please Help, Im having trouble with 1.4

Well here's my story, playing kubra somebody suddenly shouted over teamspeak that patch 1.4 just came out.
So I quit playing and I downloaded the incremental from an I3D server.
Here the problem starts.

I start patching ---> at 15% the patch suddenly stops and it says "patching failed".
So I click "oke" (or whatever it said ) and then it says "patching complete".
So I start battlefield and it doesnt work (dont even get to see intro movie ).

So I unistalled battlefield, reinstalled it and downloaded the Full 1.4 patch.

Now when I start patching it doesnt even reach the 1% mark and the patching screen dissapears :S

Please help me I have a clanwar tomorrow (ofcourse lots of karma for the one who's gonna be my hero XD )

I am assuming that you rebooted after uninstalling and all that right? I always load, restart, install patch, restart, start game.....It may be overkill, but I have never had any issues with incremental or full updates, whatever I decided to use.

Also, try to download the full patch from a different website, that may help. I d/l mine from Filefront!

I did everything how its supposed to be done, so the problem is with the 1.4 patch.
But I have no idea whats going wrong

Try uninstalling/re-installing and going back to 1.3 and see if that works. If so, then you may have a @#$% version of the patch. Try to d/l from another site and unfortunately, d/l the full version again this time and update from that first.

Yes, I tryed going to 1.3 and that worked
That second thing you said sounds like something I should do, Ill try it tomorrow thanks

well, all i can say is that this is the perfect chance to ditch bf2 and focus on whatever you actually need to do.
this new patch is a godsend for me to get some real work done.

Re-install everything.
I had to, it's a bitch but it should work fine.
BF>SF(if you have it)>1.3>AF/EF(if you have them)>1.4.

Use the full patches as they seems to have less problems.

Did it all, several times now
One last try by downloading new 1.4 patch, maybe I got a bad one (dunno how thats possible cos I downloaded from I3D).
