I wasnt planning to get one before summer 2007 anyway so meh, Besides the only reason europe was selected to be delayed was the fact that europe is sonyland. USA is xbox360 japs are odd and seem to buy quirky pieces of shite (DS, Wii) and europe seems to do PS predominately with xbox behind but not by a massive margin.
The PSP launch is the UK was the fastest ever or something and we had to wait 6 extra months for that, so i dont forsee any problems for sony tbh

There are two versions a cheaper one $500 w/ a 20gb HDD and less stuff and the $600 w/ a 60gb HDD (both are serial ATA, 2.5" yes that does matter).
Both versions can support, 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p. So I don't get these rumors, to use 1080p you do need the HDMI cable, but it can run on those lower resolutions. Do not bitch that they are not giving you those cables either, they didn't give you the Digital Output cable with the PS2, so why would they give out the HDMI cable when most people can't use it.
And the Disc Drive is Blu-Ray/CD/DVD as I stated earlier.

Why not bitch that they aren't including the cables? The 360 comes with them, and the PS2's digital output was almost pointless anyway seeing as a handful of games supported 5.1 sound (cutscenes only) and most games were dolby prologic, and progressive scan wasn't widespread. Not to mention how low priced these cables are (<--sarcasm).
Most people can use it nowadays, HDTVs aren't expensive as they were, and many sources are promoting the system as 'if you don't have HDTV, you're missing out on the experience'.
PS3 is gonna suck like PS2 i wasnt satisfied with the loading and the graphics w/ PlayStation.. Xbox FTW!

relative to the ps3 i would say they are cheap, compared to the cost of my textbooks they are extremely cheap :p

My madcatz hi-def pack for my xbox was only 30 dollars and came with component video cables, fibre optic and digital coax cables too. I'd buy that again just for the cables.

Yeah. Sad thing is I spent $1000 on textbooks and other required reading materials for college :'(
I'm going to the mall later today so I'm going to check the local prices. I know I can get them cheaper if I have them sent from home (everything is cheaper when you are farther away from colleges). But if the price is reasonable. I don't know, hmm... I guess nothing really bothers me anymore about pricing... like I love saving money but money is money you can always earn more, what bothers me is when they waste my time you can't earn time back.

I don't think they've announced it, but with 400k being shipped to North America for release day I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hmm... I'll have to work around that to get one. Yes, currently my wallet is so far gone I can't afford to do anything only have $20 left (besides the money I saved for other various reasons and emergeny money)... probably should go out and spend it so I can say I'm broke :p
