Can claymores take out light vehicles?

Can they? Can they blow a humvee/vodnik? What about the buggy type vehicles? I just unlocked the m95/l96 and I'm trying to learn how to snipe a little. Just curious what the claymores are capable of. What if you see a heavily smoking tank/apc, can claymores do damage on armour? Or are they only used on infantry?

BTW I finally got my basic explosives planting clays on IO jalalabad

Claymores don't do damage to tanks and such, but they take half the health of an FAV and the sort. Two or three claymores should kill a Humvee fairly quickly.

I've been killed a few times by a row of claymores when in my buggy or humvee.

In reality, the 700 steel balls can penetrate side of any soft-skinned vehicle. And the concussion from the blast can injure passengers. Destroy? Hard to say. Damage? Possibly. With respect to the game, well, the answers are up there.

it can damage light vehicles, but really the advantage is it can kill the passengers in the vehicle, so i drive by a clay in a jeep and die, which is the most annoying thing.

The Giant Grid of Death tells us that at 15M:

2 will take out a light jeep
3 will take out an ATV

and there are other values in there for heavier vehicles. I've seen a single clay take out a light jeep and an ATV, but they drove right beside the clay.

Yes!Two or more claymores can destroy a Humvee/Buggy/Dirty Sanchez/FAV/Vodnik.

The hardest part about that is getting the enemy to drive over them.I usually set em up around me in a road that the enemy is likely to travel,preferably next to a building or wall,and i start jumping in place when i see a car.

Getting their attention is the best i think cause i know they're going to try and make me into a hood ornament.
I just jump behind cover at the last moment while they're laughing their ass off cause they think they have an easy road kill!!!BOOM!!!

someone placed 2 claymores on the road and they manage to kill me in a light vehicle, didnt blow up the car but got me, so, good way to get a vehicle ^^

I have used them to take out the guys in a buggy, then you can jump into it and take off.

cool, good info to know

im wondering if a well placed clay can take out a tanks .50 cal gunner. I'll try to use this info to nail guys in jeeps/buggys but I dont really play sniper a whole lot. Maybe I'll play more now with my new unlocks and claymore knowledge ^_^

Look, Claymores are Anti-Personal Mines.. Meaning they take out people.. Can they kill a guy inside a car? Yes, but only at the right angle..

Use them against Infantry.. if your looking to kill Tanks and buggys, just play engineer and put AT mines down.. Anti-Tank Mines..

Maybe it would be more likely to kill people in a jeep if you placed it facing the same direction as the jeep is traveling, so as they pass it blows up toward the open, vulnerable rear (?).
