The following happened to me on a server where friendly mines don't kill you when you run over them.

If you stop over a friendly mine, including your own, and exit the vehicle it will cause the mine to explode.

This happened to me in Karkand today. I had placed a couple of mines at the Factory. I withdrew my tank from battle to repair it. To protect it I pull over one of my own mines. To my surprise when I exited the vehicle it exploded destroying the tank and killing me.

I never tried that in 1.3 or earlier so I don't know how long that has been around. However it is worth noting that you can get a suicide or accidental TK for something totally unrelated to your actions.

Just make sure you come to a full stop before exiting and you should be fine.  It explodes when an enemy drives over it (of course), when arty hits it, when a vehicle is just spawning (it spawns in the air a few inches and then lands) and also empty moving vehicles (when you press E while driving.)

This does happen. I got into a rear CP on FuShe Pass with an APC, got out and put AT mines under all of the APC's and tanks there. Some jet came alone and bombed me after I got back into my own APC, almost destroying it. So, I got one of the other APC's. Got in, mine exploded and killed me and the APC.

This also happens if you put an AT mine where a vehicle spawns. When it does spawn, the mine blows up - yet it doesnt even harm the vehicle. If you are near to it, waiting for the vehicle - the explosion will kill you, yet not even harming the vehicle.
Fucking strange.
