if you are, do you think the amount of coursework given is extreme. i know i do.
I finished mine 2 yrs ago, and tbh if you think GCSE's have alot of coursework you'll hate A-levels (if you're taking them). My advice is to sit down for a good couple of hours and finish each one off in one sitting. As I'm sure you know, as fun as BF2 is, your school grades are your future (lol I sound like my parents).
Yup the amout of coursework given to us is rediculous, luckly i got through it, and several of my AS/A-level subjects don't require coursework this year.
BTW i hear that they are thinking about dropping GCSE coursework altogether in the future, too little too late eh?

Too extreme?
You aint had nothing yet.

In my second year of GCSE's, going well so far, unlike last year where I decided that coursework was far less important than pretty much anything. Went majorly off the rails, got in a ton of problems at school and in my social life.
Lesson learned, work hard, then enjoy the weekends.
Good luck to anyone doing their GCSE's this year, hears hoping for straight A*'s (except in French, which doesn't count)

Yeah, or you could not do any coursework and your entire grade depend on one exam after all those years of studying.
I know which I would have preferred.

Hope you guys are looking forward to maths coursework, I do the iGCSE for maths, so no coursework for me, all I have to do extra is a little bit of calculus which seems easier than half the stuff we do anyway.
Geography CW is quite long though, we where told 20-30 pages today, but half of that's diagrams and the like, so it won't be too bad.

I chose long Course RS and that has no coursework at all, which is good. teh bad thing? we have some professor nerd man come in to talk about IVF and its moral issues, that bores you rigid.
Also if you are doing your GCSE's now and are in year 11 when the exam comes take the optional Citizienship/PSHE exam because i have been told its piss easy and its an extra GCSE so you have nothing to lose

If you do PSHE you just get a certificate.....no GCSE, my lessons for that subject were a joke....complete waste of time!Nintendogamer wrote:

I hate citizenship/PSHE too, my teacher explained to the class what douching was and pretended to douche herself. i havenever been so embarrassed.
Man once you hit A levels, GCSE courseworks and exams are a piss of piss, but work hard for ur gcses if u want to do A levels that is!!!
i'm going to college
i was in year 11 last year, and here is some advice:
do everything you get as best as you can, as soon as you can. you'll be surprised at the mark requirements, and it will all be worth it in the end.

Some Subjects are already over for me. Business Studies; its hard, we didn't have a teachher for over 3 months so every lesson was a doss, and when we got our teacher back (hes a 56 year old man with a bad back bad leg and a bad body) he kept having time off. so Business Studies is hopeless. in my year 10 exam i got an E (15/100)
