I changed them so I don't get that:

It is great for practicing on 64 player servers, by yourself. I wan't to change them so I get the [+2] next the the "you have killed _____ " message.

I changed a few things like the kill messages, the commo rose and the connection thing.
Every time I kill someone and see the orange +2, it makes me smile
I did for a bit, but I don't care enough to mod them.

I like it because normally a kill message can get lost in the white messages to the left, but make 'em bigger and thrown in the +2 in orange and you're never unsure if you got a kill or an assist.
yep, love it, gave all the weapons and vehicles thier proper names, made it show what i was teamkilled by etc, jus put loadsa detail into it

Did a clean install on BF2, therefore they're not modded right now.
If i mod them, i don't make them colored or whatever, i minimize them for example out of "Enemy Infantry spotted" i make "Inf spotted". Don't want to have those long text message rubbish on my screen during play.

No, I don't read anything anyways, all the voices are in english for me and all I need to know when I kill somebody is white text in the bottom left of the screen. It's a complete waste of time to change that stuff.
Well i modded a few of my files. I made the name of my kill and my killer orange.
the name of the base captured/bases lost orange
and changed the message when i die. thats all i didnt make it
its very simple but effectivily makes important objects stand out.

To be honest does it make a difference?
Wow you can see their name in Orange.. ! and also you get the number of points next to whatever you do.
And advanced ones you get the weapon next to the kill message. Gee because you cant guess what weapon they killed you with?
