i dont have my Basic knife yet . if i get to 50 knife kills before i get my basic , will i still get my infantry combat medal . the way i see it when i hit 50 knife kills ill, get my vet knife and marksman medal, but will i get the base awards as well

hope that makes sense . i know before 1.3 if you got vet knife 1st you got basic as well

In this scenario, you always get both badges at the same time. If you've qualified for all the criteria for Marksman and the Knife badges are the last you need, you'll also get both Infantry and Marksman medals at the same time.

Oh I see, sorry I misread the initial post. You WILL NEED the 7 kills IAR before yo get ANY knife badges. If you have over 1000 knif kills and havn't had 7 kills IAR you will have no badges, yet if you are over the 50 kill line and THEN get seven kills, yo will get both badgs.

The answer from what I can tell, is No. You have to have your vet knife to get the marksman medal. It does not matter if you have 50 knife kills or not.
