I'm just sick/tired about crappy patches.
Because many patches come out to fix other patches that had messed the game.
There is really big difference between patches from bf1942 and .bf2
well the patches actually fixed and improved the gameplay in bf1942.
bf2 patching is about patching there own patches
Let's take some notes out the history of patches of the game bf1942
It begun with Patch 1.1
This patch improved the server stability, yea server stability one of the most important things for multilayer game.
They fixed some client fixes and add some useful info buttons in the ingame browser but no gameplay changes.
Patch 1.2
Patch came out on for bf1942 player as good patch.
because it didn't focus not so many gameplay changes but more server fixes
and performance/fix for client
the gameplay fixes where:
#Gameplay tweaks
-Jeeps more sensitive to shells (one shot equals one kill).
-Increased B17 rate of fire for better carpet bombing.
-Grenade damage versus tanks is 40% less powerful.
-AA Gun Damage vs Infantry is increased
torso/head). Also removed splash damage versus infantry.
-Slightly increased knife damage distance.
-Slightly decreased deviation when walking and shooting with
side arms.
-Increased damage for Machine Gun 42 and browning versus infantry.
-Increased damage for Plane Machine Guns versus other planes.

Many of this fixes where for imbalance&realistic balance
This patch didn't bring more bugs then fixed
Patch 1.3
This patch did not bring CTD servers for the community's but instead they fixed the superman bug and improved the graphics for like guns/sound for guns. There where not so many server fixes but still they tried to improve the netcode to make the game smooter ingame, and added the features like the buddy system.
This system would so people would come up as green on your minimap if it's your buddy.
Patch 1.4
Battlefield 1942 came with more patches better and funner and stable and less bugs for both community's who played the game.
The clanners vs pubs, who not always agree about gameplay changes.
but somehow Dice know how to compensate by not make the game to noobish and still keep nice learning curve for every aspect.
The average feeling about patches and the hotfixes that came after patch 1.4 where even better, even with consider the free content Dice gave us.
they fixed things instead breaking things like bf2 patches it seems.
When Battlefield 2 was getting patched it seems they where going right direction.
By releasing patches to fix the game
this Note for the patches 1.01/1.02/1.03/1.12 .I though, this will game will come out great if they keep this way up when fixen bug and gameplay issue's: like you would die fast while standing next to tank.
But then problems came,they annouce to gonna bring booster-packs out, but already brought SF out and it was much to fast to bring another expansion out. For the game that wasn't year out already.
And still need allot of fixes like the AA and A2A.
It's fact by every patch when there was boosterpack came out.
the game began more to be more unstable and there where more bugs introduced then fixed.
and sort list bugs that came out because they didn't earned enough money of the SF expansion.
Squad system
1. You can't make a squad
2.You can't leave a squad
3.Two more squadleaders (patch 1.4)
T.V guided systeem
1.Reload bug
2.Shoot bug most go out t.v mode and switch to try to shoot again
3.Gray screen without pointer
4. T.V guided missile go through heli's (more often in 1.4)
Infantry
1.You are stuck medic/support bag mode and would throw 2 bags and one dissapear
2.reload bug
3. You will leave kit behind when revived(patch 1.4)
4. animation doesn't show up
5. sometimes you unzoom when going zoom
6.hit detection is screwed
7.C4 sometimes going back to throw mod when push the detonate button
planes
1.there reload view bug
2.collision models of the j10 are screwed because the A2A just bend off somehow.
Red/blue bug.
At going through tanks or vehicles.
Ping issue's.
nadelauncher nade has sometimes no effect when shooting at the enemy.
Claymores then can't be destroyed, this bug because this was not intend when fixen the mines.
Performance has gone worse, same as loading times
CTD still happening for some people.
and there are many others bugs out there on the playingfield
and not let us even begin about the nerfing concepts about some parts of game.
They said they fixed prone spamming in patch 1.2
but did not they just added a delay.
then the community came up with another up-facing problems.
macro's, I don't how many topics there where, but much and then not to forget using 3d party to is forbidden.
ad now some people use them unrealistic behavior without breaking sweet or there fingers.
in all those 12/5 months one the first 4 months I though this game is going to the good direction.
but breaking more things then fixen and leave us with crappy infantry movement some nice imbalance gameplay issue's, is not the thing that I though that could happen.
Breaking your game for the money while you say [DICE]CKMC
. As a studio we love playing our games and hanging out with other players. However we have to recognize that we have a business responsibility
So filling up your pocket money was more important then get a nice quality patch out of the studio because you couldn't wait bringing boosterpacks out.
