i was playing Kubra Dam the other day, sitting at the lower dam defending when this bloke with a Blackhawk full of troops swoops down on the US side of the dam and ever so gently flies through the pipes under the dam, emerges out the other side and continues on to the base.

now that is some l33t piloting, got any more stories like this?

Trying flying a jet under the small bridge that leads to the Power Plant on Dragon Valley on the Chinese side. That is a great way to dodge enemy air when they are on your tail.

Wow...that is awesome. I presume you guys don't use your regular desktop board to do that but the special BF2 zboard or even a joystick to fly a jet.
I tried it with my normal zboard but i even have a hard time staying in the air while flying a jet

I use my regular logitech keyboard + mx300 mouse (old logitech)... I've got no magic gizmos..

Flying the jet through that pipe is a favorite thing of mine to do. Its not that hard to accomplish and if you are being tailed it could be a good tactic if the guy on your 6 has a bad angle at the enterance. Some guy in a F-15 tried going through there to shake me in my Mig-29. Unfortunatly for him I didnt crash and the pipe makes it nice and easy to shoot him down.

i havent done much piloting of planes, though i will try now ive finaly accomplished flying choppers, i couldnt do it on vietnam but i can now! haha retard

awesome... last nite i was chased by some guy i a jet i killed various times with the MEC air to air vehicle(you know that gruwesome flack thing) and i think he was fed up beeing killed by me everytime so he chased me and i went into the tunnel but duck ou of the vehicle and ssw the jet flying right into the tunnel and getting out of the other side. Awesome.

I do that all the time. If we don't have control of the control point I'll even hover in the tunnel and capture the flag before I leave.

Its a good way to get jets off your ass too. Most of them won't try to follow you through the tunnel.

Vietnam was so easy to fly. Took a bit of practice in BF2, not being able to circle around a flag in a heli kinda sucked. Im not great at flying in BF2 yet, but im not too bad either.

I played a bit of BF:Vietnam about a month ago. I consider myself a great pilot in that game. I hopped in a chopper, capped a base and was shot down by another chopper. Some guy on my team had the nerve to tell me to practice flying in single player before flying in an online game...THIS PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH! I was not nearly as good as the guy who said this, but I am still a great pilot in that game, I ws incredibly insulted by his comment.

Bull. I'll just fly OVER the bridge and beat on yo ass. I love to see clowns pull these tricks. People who insist on flying under the pip in Dragon Valley, insist on flying under the damn in kubra. Well you only can go one way: Straight. So i'll just save the fancy stuff, fly safely over and wait for you to exit and continue the chase. :p

[edit] After some thought, its more useful in kubra only because of the dam's height If you actually make it through, I'll have to bank up steeply (If i'm following closely) and chances are when you exit I'll have lost you. [/edit]

Once, I accidently lost altitude right in front of Kubra Dam in my chopper, out of desperation, I steered the heli straight into the tunnel. Made it out and then got killed by an APC. Lol.

I normally don't try stuff like that. Go figure.

the first time i tried flying a jet through the pipe in kubra, there was an enemy attack chopper hovering and capping the base. By the time I saw him, I had already committed to going through the pipe and there wasnt much i could do.

...oops.

i took him out, defended the flag, but also committed suicide in the process.
