I hear alot of complaint about the serious lack of power the M95 has, and is realise this is becuaseof the ease of use.  I was discussing this with some fellow clan memers, and we thought of an idea, maybe not ground breaking, but worth a shot.

Th M95 SHOULD have the power it deserves in game, but its too damn easy to aim, i think they should have a system where if you bring the sight up, it should be moving in such a way that your breathing effects it, (this could also have an effect when using a Gas Mask in SF), and have a second function that after the right mouse has been pressed once, holding this again, will make the character breath out slowly, slowing the sights motion down to a halt, until the shot is taken at the very end of the breath, thats how a proper sniper would do it, and i think that added bit a timing and skill needed to fire it, would be a valid reason the knock the power up on the damn gun.

Long winded i know, but at least this was one discussion we took seriously, and not `they should introduce a frying pan as a melee weapon`

just like its in Americas Army. theres a breathing cycle and about 3 sec intervall where the aim is steady wich is the best moment to shoot. theres the M82 in AA wich is nearly the same as the M95 but semi-automatic and jamming all the time but a 1 shot killer.
anyway i would appreciate some more realism in BF2 but i doubt we will see more power to the M95 even with that feature it still would be to powerful in skilled hands.

ps: i would take the frying pan 2

Frying pans are over rated and they're not always 'one hit, man down'. What you need is the galvanised steel of a boiling pot, proven to be, 'one hit, man down' . Anyways, the M95 issue has more threads than a frayed bit of rope

Could be AA, and it could even be CoD2.  In CoD2, there are VERY heavy breathing effects, but press shift and they stop for a little until you can't hold your breath anymore.  Either way, one of the sniper rifles is 1-shot kill, head or chest, the other is 1 shot head... but in CoD2, sniping is a BREEZE

Long before CoD2, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow features that 'hold breath' thingie when using sniper rifles. Or any scoped rifle, actually. Yet, it's quite cool.

A simpler but effective system is RTCW:ET' one as well: some sort of 'accuracy meter', which only appears while scoped: the more it's close to full, the more your sight will sway around. Waiting some time without moving will make the meter drop and your sight will be almost ocmpletely steady. Move, and it's going to fill up again (halfway). Move a lot, and it'll be completely full in a moment. I really loved that. No breath-holding thingie, tho.

What solution, my M95 is perfectly fine.  Maybe you should exchange your BF2 copy to see if the other M95's work for you.
Alpha as fuck.

I really can't see how you'd like to improve on 95 damage. Ubar already says it has less bullet drop (without any data to back it up) than the equivalent US rifle.

As far as breathing disrupting it, there is of course holding your breath, and the fact that these are tripod guns should really lower the effect breathing has on the stability of the gun
