Please please will someone explain to me why I have not been promoted yet? According to the Ubar a First Sgt. Needs:
Requirements:

* Rank: Gunnery Sergeant
* Score: 20000
* Awards: Basic Knife Combat Badge, Basic Pistol Combat Badge, Basic Assault Combat Badge, Basic Anti-tank Combat Badge, Basic Sniper Combat Badge, Basic Spec Ops Combat Badge, Basic Support Combat Badge, Basic Engineer Combat Badge, Basic Medic Combat Badge

I currently have the following:

Which obviously encompasses the required upgrades, however I have not been promoted as of yet and I got my latest upgrade "Basic Ground Defense Badge: First received on: December 4, 2005, 12:22 pm".

If you did not have all the required badges prior to making GS 20,000 you are promoted to Master Sargent and will not get First Sargent...ever. If you DID have all your basic badges you would have skipped Master and gone straight to First. Your next promotion is at 50k. I was looking at your badges and it looks like you got all the required basics some time ago so you may have fallen victom to a glitch that your stuck with.

And another one;
1) You've got the 20k border at 17 november
2) You've got the knife badge at 18 november
3) You need to get basic combat badges before the promotion...

To bad... You were one single day to late.
You'll get it at the 50k border...

Thanks. That really sux and BF should mention this glitch. Oh well my only unlock left is anti-tank and it now is my least favorite class.

One more question: In special forces I am not getting my service ribbons even though I have qualified for them because of my recent badges aquired in BF2. Is this subject to the same glitch?

If you mean the Ariel Service, Navy, Spetznas, SAS, MECSF, Rebel, and insurgent Service Ribbons.....Yes there is a VERY talked about glitch making them unavailable until a future patch more than likely. Right now Crew, Armoured, Heli seem to be the only ones.

whether this helps or not i usually dont receive a rank even when ive passed the mark but... if you go out of that server and load into another one as soon as you receive a point you get a rank thats what ive noticed happen with me may not be in your case.
