Raccoons are amazing creatures and I have come to believe that everyone should learn more about them.
One thing i found in my research is that in the US, ownership of Raccoons is quite heavily restricted in most states!
State Regulations Concerning the Possession of Raccoons as Pets
Raccons are well known pests, but WHY are they pests? Because they tip over trashcans to eat the rubbish within? Solution: Hire Raccoons to work in the worlds rubbish dumps as garbage controllers.
Even the NAME is cool. Raccoon. Rack-koon. Go on, say it.
Raccoon:
[ra-koon]
–noun, plural -coons, (especially collectively) -coon.
1. a nocturnal carnivore, Procyon lotor, having a masklike black stripe across the eyes, a sharp snout, and a bushy, ringed tail, native to North and Central America and introduced elsewhere for its valuable fur.
2. the thick, brownish-gray fur of this animal, with gray, black-tipped guard hairs.
3. any of various related animals of the genus Procyon, of Central American islands, some now rare.

Hey baby I want to cover you with chocolate and watch a raccoon lick it off.

Raccoons as Pets
In most states of the United States it is illegal to keep raccoons as pets. Other states allow the practice, but require exotic pet permits. Young orphan raccoons and raccoons acquired from reputable breeders may make suitable pets; however, raccoons are not domesticated animals. Training raccoons is an intensive and ongoing process, and captive raccoons may retain destructive or aggressive natural behaviors, such as biting. Some douse their food in or defecate into the water dishes of other pets. Although nocturnal, captive raccoons can be trained to sleep at night and to be active during the day.
Captive raccoons can develop obesity and other disorders due to unnatural diet and lack of exercise; furthermore, many veterinarians will not treat raccoons. Raccoons raised in captivity and released do not adapt well to life outside
