Yes, the ribbon is there and there are "requirements" to achieve the award, but there are no planes in SF. There are also several other awards which have been commented out in the code.

It's probably a trick by EA. They know that some of these people will keep playing the game until they have all the awards so they created one that is not obtainable. Then again, maybe you just need to be sitting on top of one of the F-18's on the Essex when you get your kills? (joke)
