I do, unless its real far away. Im not one to just grab the car and speed off leaving everyone at the base, I wait for people to get in.
I love doing that. Especially right at the start of the round...or when there aren't any other vehicles around.
because they are worthless lol
Its just being plain inconsiderate...everybody is playing for themselves and they don't give a shit about their team mates...really pisses me off
i hate the ones that us them for car bombs
great...you make me walk all the way from the USMC base into Karkand cityThomasMorgan wrote:

well i do it only on karkand cuz karkand is overplayed and it sucks nuts. SF ftw.
You play with nubs!JoeFriday wrote:

Come play with me. I actually give pickups.. Unless you neglected to look at your squad tab and spawn on me when the round started.
i usually just unload a clip out of frustration into the back of the vehicle. it doesn't kill them so no tk, and many times people have then stopped and given me a lift.
the one thing i think some people don't consider when talking about this problem is that people (well, myself anyway) stopped reading the chatbox altogether because its always full of useless, 'enemy boat spotted' text from the other side of the map, and there are times when you just aren't aware that someone else is near you, because you can't be watching your minimap all the time.
it is, however, pretty hard to ignore a bunch of rounds hitting the back of your vehicle, so if you fire a couple of shots and they still ignore you then that's when you know they're just being a prick.

ahhhhh, this is what I call a ignorance. You can and should be looking at your minimap all the time.oberst_enzian wrote:

ignorance? show me one way that you can be looking at it all the time - for example while aiming your rifle. you literally cannot be looking in two places at once. ergo it's not possible to be completely aware of it all the time.
Sometimes when someone asks for a ride, I stop and wait until they are about 5 feet away then take off, stop and repeat. It can be great fun on a slow/aggravating day.
Not directly at it, but it should be in your field of vision and taking note of what it says, as it gives you much more info then your main screen (esspecially when you have a good commander). After killing the guy you where aiming at you should know exactly where the next person is comming from (without searching) or where to go to avoid armor etc. It s the most useful tool to you and the main reason I hate bad commanders because you really notice it when your minimap is just... well a map.oberst_enzian wrote:

As for when your in a car driving, how can you be 'aiming your rifle'?

just an example of literally not being able to look in two places at once, not saying that it happens when you get in a vehicle, as per the topic. mainly, i was just responding to your calling me ignorant because i wasn't always aware of every single thing on the minimap - so i was just trying to make what i thought was a logical point.DrunkFace wrote:

anyway, your more fleshed out point about the map and its usefulness is a good one, and i would definitely agree that the minimap should be in one's general field of vision. i will speak solely for myself then by saying that i am not so immersed in this game to have 100% focus + concentration when i play it - so while i do what you are saying most of the time, i do nevertheless have lapses in concentration where sometimes i just don't notice stuff on the map... if you can stay fixed on it for a whole round or whatever and still enjoy the game, kudos to you.

Lol at the start of everymap its like a race to see who gets there first then its EAT MY DUST. There is like 5 guys shooting at the same vehichle to try and get his attention then when get gets halfway he realizes people need a pickup. By then we are where we need to be then we die becuase we couldn't get there in time to do what we need to do so enemy camping like hell..... So Wrong
That is exactly why I do it is to piss people of and to get in the attack heli on wake first.JoeFriday wrote:

i do it some times to blow up enemy tanks, and dont say i dont care about the team because blowing up the tank and the apc at the same time helps the team immensely
