didn´t enjoy at all. the nightvision is really bad to see, and the worse of Bf2 for me it was that the soldier got tired too fast when running (way too fast for a soldier) so we have to wait a long time to reload so we can run again, that a pain. but in the night maps we also have the nightvision to worry about running of energy and tham having to wait to reload. i hate that.

i like reality, but i think that a soldier should have much more breath than those has, and i don´t think that the nightvision that soldiers use in reality run of batteries in a few minutes.

i like to flash the nv on just to see if there is any activity, otherwise it gets pretty laggy for me in fights. hopefully soon i can replace this damn gfx 5900 for a gfx6800gt sometime soon, maybe christmas time!

I hate them... you can't see anything, night vision on or off... and half the time I die by falling because you can't see the ground in front of you, again, NV turned on or off. regardless, the expansion is worth it, ghost town and warlord are great maps, plus there was one that was rebels vs spetz that I like to, can't remember what it was called.
A agree, the light and dark are blended to much, so it can be pitch black with plenty of lights still around. That way, switching between night vision and none just helps you see different portions. Not to mention, the night maps tend to lag more.

And the map you're thinking of is probably the one with the rebels trying to launch the rocket. I loved how you have to go through the giant building at the end to get the last flag.

I quite like the night maps. The only gripes I have are not being able to turn on/off your NVG's whilst driving a vehicle and the earlier mentioned ground issue. Other than that, I really like the atmosphere of the night missions.

Devil's Perch itself is a rather cool map because it has big elevation differences. (Offcourse, combined with the black ground issue it's a potential deathtrap )
You can turn your nightvision on/off while driving! check your keymapping options. A big help i've found is to map the goggles to my mouse thumb button, its weapon 7,  and you need to map this on your vehicle options as well. Much easier to flick it on/off this way.

It really sucks that I can't map the NVG in vehicles and on foot to the same key. I want them to be the same thing regardless if in vehicle or on foot.

Night maps are a knifers paradise. That is all there is to it
Haven't gone for expert yet but it should be more or less a walk in the park as veteran took less than 10 minutes.
