Its just the same as in any other democracy, the nations religion will always be preferred to on a candidate for the role.

could (not to many Catholics owned business in N.Ireland then) vote if they owned a business and only then, mr im a Catholic and I should know about this as i've a b in A level politics? away back to your books, & as it Stands a Catholic cannot be Prime minister in England..
