BF2S Forums Any Final Fantasy fans around here?

Has anyone played Dirge of Cerberus for the PS2?  Not very Final Fantasy-ish, more Devil May Cry, but for a guy like me who loves FFVII it's a must.
Great cutscenes (few and far between though) and the entire cast from the movie, half-decent game play.

edit: I'm considering finally getting a 360 this weekend, but FF12 is coming out in 2 months which basically means I'll be playing GRAW for a month and then FF12 for however long it takes.
I'll go looking for the games thread to talk about NHL 07...

Yeah it's been out for a few weeks. 
Very short (12 stages), but has around 40 bonus missions, and the NA release doesn't have online like the Japanese version.

You youngen's kill me, the closest thing to real FF i've seen on here is everyone's mention of FF 3/6.  Save for a few hintings here and there.  The true best is FF2 for SNES.  That game had it all.  The first true developed plot line.  The most addictive and amazing characters.  The very BEST magic system out of them all thus far, and plenty of options that blew other games out of the water, even in it's day.  To this day, it remains my favorite and is easily still one of the greatest FF's ever, though i have to admit, 7 was amazing, and 9 is no slouch.  FF2 set the standards and made the rules.  Old school wins out here and even the new release they did of it recently for game boy advance was very good, even with the added material.  10 out of 10 for true FF fans.

ff7 was the first game i bought for ps.  i cant think of how many hours i spent glued to the t.v. just playing that throughout the weekends.  I had a friend who spent a 4-day weekend on his bed with no lights playing the game non-stop.  that is what got me hooked.  I had fun even watching it being played.  Nothing like watching "Knights of the Round Table" come out and whoop some butt.

The only other version i played was ff8.  I have to say i loved that one as well.  since i only played these two i dont know the history of ff so that is probably why i didn't care for all the hoopla about ff8 being bad.  i thought the gf's were awesome,  map was easy to navigate, 3 levels of elementals were cool, hell i loved the whole thing.  that's why i bought it for pc as well.  sure some of the love story got gay and yeah i never played those card games, but what game is absolutely wonderful from soup to nuts? 

i was so close to buying one of the online games, but along with everyone else, it wouldn't be worth it if bf2 has got a hold of you.
