See, there is a difference with this army(?) and a conventional army. These guys are just trying to earn a paycheck for the most part, so they are following just directions, not trying to become an elite killing force. Compare that to a conventional army (U.S. or even Israel) where the people are enlisted or conscripted and you get funny results. Honestly, I don't think those Afghans would have a care in the world if you dressed them in pink polka-dotted uniforms (actually, from seeing pictures of their cars and guns with all those trinkets on them, they would probably love it). Like I said, they are trying to earn a paycheck, not fighting for some altruistic or idealogical reason.
P.S. I loved the warm up dances...makes you think you are watching 6 year-olds dance at a wedding.
