Wrong. 250 USD is for the bundle version (Wii + Wii Sports). Wii only is 215 USD, so Wii in Europe should be around 200€ (maybe 150£).

edit: http://www.ebgames.com/gs/wii/wii_signup.asp lists the Wii at 249.99 but says it does indeed include Wii Sports (tennis, bowling, baseball and golf - props to sheggalism), but doesn't list any other package.

Hum, does that mean there will only be Wii + Wii Sports packages ? Yes. So there won't be any Wii only at 215 USD

Actually, I've seen the 250 USD package including the Wii, a Wiimote, a Nunchuck and Wii Sports. I first thought
it was a special package cause there's a game within. But I can't find Wii Sports price cause it's free and only included in that package ! So I thought it's about the Nunchunk (35 USD alone). So a Wii + Wiimote is 215 USD. Bu there's only one available package in fact ! (I noticed that checking links you've posted)

I noticed that none spoke about the revolutionary control system.

A very close friend played with the Wii on the GC 06. I was too lacy to wait for about 2 hours, playing for 20 min, but his comment was, that the new controller is rly fantastic. The new Tony Hawk was complete playable, and Red Steel too.
But typical for Nintendo, they´ll release many childish games without a good working control.

The graphic will be horrible, but it must be fun to play with it.

Yeah, it is a good concept but I want to try it before I make any comments.

i like the idea of the wii (going to get one) but little things that are annoying about it IMO are

price, too expensive, yes that right TOO expensive, its cheaper than the other next gens i give it that, but for what its got in it / does its too expensive in my mind. then you got the price of the extra nunchucks on top. ($50 more can get you a 360)

dvd! no dvd playback!!!! now i dont really need another dvd player but thats the the point, nintendo are aiming this as a family machine, set up down stairs for the family to use and no dvd playback could hurt them people like having one system that does everything.

SD storage, large SD cards can be expensive and i dont know about you guys but i will be downloading back catalog games, with only 512MB of internal storage that means lots of cards!

the last thing that pisses me off is the sensor strip its huge, where the hell am i going to put it, no way am i sticking it to my lovely hd tv!!!!

but the fact that its a new way to play means that the things that piss me off about the machine are now so small they wont bother me (in other words it has far more good points than bad points) and considering i was hoping on getting the PS3 in November till it was delayed i kinda have some spare change to spend if you know what i mean !!

Well I have heard about that the Wii supports a "Virtual Console" feature. Means that you can download old NES, SNES and N64 Classic games.

Hey Maverick,
You're right with the dvd playback thing, makes the 'region free' label more or less pointless (games are region free, yeah I get it).
I haven't looked at storage (I assumed it'd have internal memory) or the sensor strip stuff.

yeah its only got 512mb of internal memory which aint that much to tell you the truth enouh for game saves but not for downloads.
