I play to reinstall BF2, SF, EF, and AF.

Should I just install them, in that order, and apply the full 1.4 patch after?

Suggestion?

Yes, install in that order with no patches. Then install 1.4 Full.

I read in the 'Patch Chatter (1.4)' forum to install BF2, then patch 1.4 Full.
Then install all expansions, then patch 1.4 Full again.

Install BF2.  Make a copy of BF2 in the same folder.  It will be named "Copy of BF2." Then run the 1.4 patch.
Install SF, EF, AF and then reinstall 1.4 to patch the two booster and one expansion pack.  The reason I said to make a copy was so you wont have to reinstall again.  Next time you are having problems just delete BF2 and make another copy, rename, and patch up.  I actually have 1.0, 1.03, 1.12, 1.22, and 1.4 saved on my computer.

When you download 1.4 patch turn off ALL ANTI-VIRUS software. Save 1.4 to disk and also AF, EF, and whatever other downloads you have to do. That way it won't take as long. I have all patches and mods saved to DVD, that eliminates the need for continuous downloading for the extras. Just a thought.

Just make sure you have no anti-virus operating!!!!!

You can install BF2 then SF then AF without patching but EF has to be patched before you can install, then you have to patch it again over the top, is crazy.
