Spearhead, buy the parts from Newegg and put it together yourself.. You'll get more & better hardware for less money.

NEVER do that with laptops, its one sure way to fuck up and waste shit loads of money. Desktops are ok to make yourself.

I also looked at the Dell laptops and they dont even compare! The Dell laptops are incredibly lame, also they may be owned in the same conglomerate but they arent run as one company.

Thought that Spearhead was getting an alienware desktop. You can buy and assemble all the laptop components yourself? Never seen that before

Spear - you should at least conside building yourself.  I was in the SAME boat, and because of the guys on this forum, decided to build my own (with parts mainly from New Egg).  It was easier than I thought - I got a book from Amazon (there are a ton on building) and posted some problems here - in TECH area, and was in business in about ONE WEEK!  Now - if I want to add, change, tweak or fix anything - I crack it open and do it - no problem.  Some of the people here can really help you out if you get in a jam....but if you research it (NewEgg is good for this too) you should not have any problems....and the best part, it will cost you about half as much.  If you decide to go Alienware though, they are good.  Check out Falcon and Northwest as well....nice machines.

well ive been comparing them and i havent found that too be the case.

playing BF2 on a laptop always gives me a good laugh. Especially because my laptop is a Mac, and BF2 doesnt run on it
