Hi, im a limewire user. Ive downloaded music. I go to my music folder and BAM! it has been wiped. The "incomplete" folder with limewire is also empty, and I cannot delete either of these folders because it says:

Folder is not empty

When it looks as if it is, and the hidden files are turned on...

Anyone else had this problem before? Or am I getting fooked....

When I downloaded the new version last night all the stuff i tried to download just sat there on connecting then after awhile went to need more sources

Hmmm, Im more worrying about I think I heard someone say before that their folder was wiped and they got a lovely letter from limewire demanding a sum of money....I hope that isnt true and NOT the case here...

But from what I read, its the person uploading it that gets in trouble, not the person downloading it. And how does their tracking work anyway?

if you use your neigbours unsecured wlan your pretty safe. useing a conncetion that isnt registerd to your name is very useful sometimes

If you like your neighbor, go to places with public Wi-Fi like Starbucks, Panera Bread, airports etc etc. Hell, I can go downtown Indy on monument circle and sit out there and use a publice Wi-Fi I believe. Atleast Indy has talked about making it available down there so Im not sure if its up and running yet.

I download off Limewire on an almost daily basis and have been for 2 years... NEVER gotten a virus. Stay away from the programs search section and you will be fine. (and dont download anything like a .vbs file)

Nah, never got any viruses. Got an active scanner running most of the time anyway, which will delete the file if it has one once it has been downloaded. Loads of freaky sh!t has been going on and somehow my music has all reappeared....

IF u download a program it a 95% chance of a virus but u can download limewire pro from limewire itself so if u download latest most content is removed..

No, it is perfectly legal for personal use. Its if you burn them to a cd or something and sell it which is illegal or something along those lines...

also downloading copyrighted material is of course illegal
