I was wondering if anybody had else had low accuracy because you shoot randomly while waiting for a vehicle or going on long walks.
Hell yes.
I do that all the time. Like, when my buddy and I are waiting for a heli, i'll shoot round past his head, or into the water, or i'll chuck grenades around, or something to that effect.

Indeed, sif care about accuracy. I also often fire off a few shots to make sure the gun is in the correct mode. Burst / single shot etc.
I don't like to waste bullets at all, because there has been enough times where I run out of bullets and there is no support close by.

All the time. Especially the M249. Also fun to laugh at the deviation and watch bullets fly sideways out of the M249 after firing it in full auto for more than one second.
