Man this thread is full of people that ignore previous replies. STOP posting answers to all the questions in the original post if they've been answered already. Chitlin, READ THE PREVIOUS POSTS and stop asking the same damn questions. Now, here's how it goes for commander points:
You get a point everytime someone on your team captures a flag
You get a point if a teammate kills an enemy that you spot or UAV
You get points when teammates use your supply box
I'm not sure if you get a point for a teammate that makes a flag neutral. Someone reply on this.
You DO NOT get points for anything else DURING THE ROUND. And as stated NUMEROUS times on this freakin thread already, team actions such as kill assists, healing, resupply, and repair do not give you points BUT they register on your global stats.
Artillery kills register as global kills and as kills in a round for an award. YOU DO NOT GET POINTS FOR ARTILLERY KILLS NOR DO YOU SUFFER POINT LOSS FOR TEAMKILLS/TEAM DAMAGE WITH ARTILLERY, HOWEVER, you STILL get negative points for teamkills/team damage NON artillery.
Finally, at the end of the round, if you LOSE, you get the AVERAGE score of your team added to whatever you earned during the round. If you WIN, 2x the average score of your team gets added. Got it?
P.S. If I'm wrong correct me, but I'm pretty sure of all this info.
You are wrong on the commander points.
You do not get a point if someone on your team caps a flag.
You do not get a point if a teammate kills an enemy that you spot or UAV
You do not get points when teammates use your supply box
At the end of the round, you do not get an average of your team's score.
Commander points are
accrued during the round as players on your team gain points.
While you are commander, you will
accrue points based on that average you are speaking about. If there are 7 players other than yourself and each player gets one kill (2 points per kill) then you will obtain 1.75 points since you are included in the average (8 players divided by 14 points = 1.75). If you resign and your teammates get 300 kills each and then you reapply and become commnader again, you will still have 1.75 points. If 5 players on the enemy team get 500 points each and then switch over to your team and they score nothing for you then you will still have 1.75 points since those points weren't accrued on your team, under your command.
If you are commander and all 7 players on your team score 2 points each, then all of them disconnect from the server, you will still have 1.75 points even after they leave since your points are accrued while they are there. Of course since there are no fractional points recorded, you will only have 1 point. So at the end of the round, your score will not likely be an average of what your team has with all of the team switching and disconnecting going on.
Scenario: If there are 5 players on your team besides yourself, no one switches sides, no one leaves, and no new players join, the players score the following: 80, 70, 60, 50, 40. That's 300 points total. 5 players + 1 commander = 6, so divide 300 by 6 and that will be your score (50). If you win, you will get 2x50 =100 and 100 is the top score, and you get gold. If the scores are as follows: 100, 40, 30, 20, 10 then that's 200/6=33. 33x2=66 no gold for you since the guy with 100 gets it.
It took me several hours of play to calcualate and verify this. It would be nice if EA would pay me and several others now for their complete lack of an instruction manuals included with the purchase of the games.
