I'm no noob when it comes to computers, infact im pretty good with everything but memory timings, i just dont understand them but i know having the right timings can make the RAM perform a lot better.
Currently I've got 2x512mb of corsair value ram (I was on a budget ok?!) and if anyone could tell me the best timings, that would be great.
the best timimngs cannot be told by anyone, you have to try yourself. put in the stock ones and lower them (test with memtest86) until you get errors
EDIT: lower = better, but faster frequency is even better, just look at the bandwith reported by memtest, because way too loose timings can be couterproductive

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
