A definite showing I have way too much time on my hands, I started working on this document while part of a Mod group. They didn't have a specific goal at the time, so I was compiling together something as a reference design document.

The main area of focus was weapons and is of course where most of the content is.

Several areas after that are incomplete.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think. Anything I should cover I haven't outlined already? Any glaring innaccuracies?

Constructive criticism, if you would -- I know I have no life, I don't need any reinforcement

Fair warning, it's long -- about 25 total pages according to Word Perfect.

(For the record, I've been writing on and off for about a year.)

There are extensive references like this in game design manuals, but gj anyway. More stuff for wikis. The lists of engines is nice. If you had more time, you could list key features and developments.

Thx, yeah my intention was to have it be like a professional doc -- or at least what I think one would look like (having not actually seen one). Game engine features will probably be a later addition -- right now I'm focusing on the general gameplay elements of most shooters.
