I enter the TOW/HJ-8, aim at the tank, fire, WOOOOSH!!! But no rocket?

I just need to vent so here it goes:

This is pissing me off to no end.
I’m actually afraid to enter Ground Defense emplacements because of this bug.

Just last night I was playing R2J and was sniping towards the USMC forces when their tank rolls down towards our “Lake” spawn point.
Since I’m a sniper I have little or no chance to stop him unless he for some reason should choose to get out.
But wait! There’s a HJ-8, oooh it’s on now…

The tank has seen me and but I won’t get into the HJ-8 until he’s visible.
So he finally looses his patience and rolls into view, I get on the HJ-8 and fire a rocket straight at the threads on the tank.

Or so I thought…I only hear the rocket fire but it doesn’t release.
So I’m sitting there reloading while the tank gently rolls up alongside me and picks his spot to blow me to pieces…

This have happened to me so many times lately and it is pissing me off!!!

didn't.. I clicked like 3000 times but nothing happened so waited for the reload and killed the tank then...

I assure you, I kept clicking just in case but there was no rocket.
The reload sequence started (And oh so slow when you see this huge tank in your sights) and then he ended my misery with a swift main gun shot.

No in my case the tank driver/machinegunner were blimd.

Yes but that is another issue.
In this case the rocket doesn't fire at all.

That bug's been around for a while, there's a big infestation underneath the rug that EA/DICE don't want to know about.

ive had all the known rocket glitches i think,
its loaded i click and it just reloads again
its loaded i click and it goes woosh but nothing else happens
its loaded i click and the rocket goes, no woosh and it just goes through whatever i was aiming at, then it reloads
its loaded i click the i see and hear the rocket fire, it goes through the vehicle and explodes on the other side
its loaded i click, the rocket explodes in the tube and kills me (this is a new one)

thats all that i remember atm

Yep, never seen it until 1.4, now I get it all the time. But everytime if I click again it comes out... Had it a few times with SRAWs too.

I'm surprised this is the first I've heard someone mention it, it happened to me the first time I played Jalalabad at the Lake flag.

I had the one on karkand when where you shoot at an apc neer hotel it goes through it hits the wall behind it and there happend to be a guy standing at that wall having a wet dream about the apc.

If someone fires a rocket with a TOW it doesn't reload by itself. SO lets say person 'X' fires a TOW missile, but gets out right after. Then person 'Y' gets into the TOW 2 minutes later. Since no one has reloaded the TOW since it's been shot, person 'Y' must reload it, thus causing him to be a sitting duck for a few seconds.

It's not a bug. It's just kinda realistic.

Nah I've had this bug too. It's not much of a bug though. It's more to do with your network connection.

Just like when you switch fire modes and it unswitches back, server never acknowledged your original command.

What happens is this, you do a command and your client side assumes it's done. Then when the server side acknowledges it, it's ACTUALLY done. The thing with the TOW/HJ-8 seems to be that sometimes when you shoot the client side acknowledges it and pretends the thing shot, but the server never does. By that theory you would actually be allowed to shoot again straight away, but your client side still hasn't been told this, so it's still trying to wait for reload.

I've only had the TV missile glitch when it just doen't fire at all and basically does naff all until you, click out of view then back in.
